✧ What I like about yoga therapy is that the human being is seen, and approached from all its aspects: physical, energetic, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.
✧ Yoga practices have beneficial effects on all of these human layers. Every action at the level of one of the layers has an effect on all the others.
👣 Physical layer (Annamaya Kosha): the physical elements of our body: skin, muscles, bones, internal organs, etc.
⚡️ Energetic body (Pranamaya Kosha): the energy that animates us and sets in motion all the body systems: breathing, digestion, sleep, blood circulation, etc.
🧘🏻♀️ Mental body (Manamaya Kosha): thoughts, emotions, states, behaviors, which are automatic reactions to life’s circumstances.
🪷 Intellectual Body (Vijnanamaya Kosha): the wisdom of the inner voice that guides us in life, determination, will, and involves the element of choosing a response to life’s circumstances in line with our values.
♥️ Spiritual Body (Anandamaya Kosha): is the most subtle layer of the human being, it can also be called the “bliss body”. It allows us to connect with pure joy, and experience the connection with our divine nature.
P.S. While I finalize my yoga therapy studies I offer the first 7 sessions for free. You can benefit from this type of yoga if you struggle with constant tiredness, anxiety, poor sleep, high blood pressure, and poor digestion. Send me a message if you are interested. I have availability at the start of June.

✧ If April could be a word, it would be Returning.
Returning of cherry blossom,
Returning of rain,
Returning of repetitive patterns,
Returning to forgiveness,
Returning to hope,
Returning to self-compassion,
Returning to now.
✧ Knowing that we, humans, are prone to identifying, and storing the unpleasant experiences faster than the pleasant ones, I practice these monthly retrospectives to remind myself, and store in my memory the pleasant experiences too.
✧ Together with my family, I visited some parts of Japan. I enjoyed the sense of order, and organization while I was there. Their attention to details makes life so much easier, and enjoyable. Google Maps and Google Translate helped too 🙂
✧ I am almost halfway with the practice for the yoga therapy diploma. I am grateful, and happy about that.
✧ While I finalize my studies I offer the first 7 sessions for free. You can benefit from this type of yoga if you struggle with constant tiredness, anxiety, poor sleep, high blood pressure, and poor digestion. Send me a message if interested. I have availability at the start of June.
P.S. Share one thing that was pleasant for you in April.

✧ When we repeat practices that support the activation of the relaxation response, it helps to enter this state more easily, and build resilience.
✧ The “Rested Mama” program, starting on 19 May 2026, is aimed at introducing some yoga tools to access the relaxation response, and then used them as often as you can to re-charge your batteries.
✧ Let me know if the schedule I proposed is suitable for you.
2 online live sessions/week:
Tuesdays ~ 09:30 - 10:30
Thursdays ~18:45 - 19:45
Small group (2-6 persons)
P.S. You can select the option to join 1 session/week.

I remember how tired, worn out, and unsettled I was feeling in the early years of motherhood with disrupted, and insufficient sleep.
Sleep was not enough.
My mind felt constantly “on.”
When I had a moment to rest, I couldn’t fully let go.
If this feels familiar, you’re not alone.
This 5-week experience is a guided reset for your body and mind, created specifically for mothers who feel depleted, overstimulated, and in need of real restoration.
My intention for these 5 weeks is to support your body and mind in shifting out of stress, and into a state where deep rest, and recovery become possible again.
Through trauma-informed yoga, simple breath practices, and deeply restorative practices like yoga nidra, you’ll begin to:
✧ soften tension held in the body
✧ slow down an overactive mind
✧ restore your energy in a sustainable way
✧ feel more grounded, present, and supported
This is a space with guided support — twice a week — to help you come back to your rested self.
Comment or message ”Rest” to sign up.
✧ Curious about how to tap into your body’s natural ability to restore balance?
✧ Deep relaxation is the key.
✧ Personalized yoga classes can be thoughtfully designed to facilitate the process of deep relaxation.
✧ Movement that is attuned to the body and breath helps to soften, and release built-up tension, and gives the mind a break from the constant processing of thoughts.
✧ Each class begins by anchoring the attention in the present moment through gentle breath, and movement. Toward the end of the class — when the body and mind have settled — the practice transitions into the well-known rest: savasana.
✧ In savasana, the body is invited into stillness, the breath softens, and with patience and gentle awareness, the whole system begins to integrate the practice, opening the door to deep relaxation.
✧ From this place of more safety and ease, the body may shift into the parasympathetic state of the autonomic nervous system—the state linked to rest, restoration, and recovery.

✧ The highlight of March was the coming of spring. I love this time of the year! 🌱
✧ Inspired by biography work, I review each month to take in the moments that brought me joy, but also to note new experiences, what patterns I repeat, if I took care of my needs, how were my relationships, and other self-reflection. I find it valuable because it helps me find meaning in my life, and look confidently toward the future. .liana.barbu
✧ I continued my work on the yoga therapy case studies, and I am grateful for everyone who is part of it. I also planted some seeds for a new offering, so stay tuned.
P.S. Tell me what brought you joy in March.

✧ To keep it short and sweet, this quote means for me: it is important to find my own meaning of life, and more so, I need to stay open to changes, and update it based on what makes sense at a certain life stage. What made sense in my 20s, or my 30s, does not make sense for me anymore.
✧ Now I am in my 40s, and it seems to be a life stage in which life is full of contradictions, and meaning needs redefinition.
✧ Among those contradictions, I am re-learning to enjoy life. I can say that currently the meaning of my life is to feel joy, and share it with those around me.
✧ What do you think about this quote?
✧ You may be wondering how do you connect with your inner wisdom. One way is through interoception.
✧ Our biology is constantly monitoring the outside world, but also the inside world of our body.
✧ On the inside, our nervous system is monitoring aspects such as: blood pressure, blood sugar, temperature, water-salt balance, nutrient levels, hormones levels, and sleep-awake cycles.
✧ When any of the above internal processes is not in balance then we might feel dizziness if there is low blood pressure, shaking if blood sugar is low, heart racing after too much coffee, fast breathing when scared.
✧ Interoception is the capacity to be aware, explore, and interpret these body sensations.
✧ Practices such as yoga therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and somatic experiencing, are focusing on growing the awareness of body sensations, and learning/re-learning to accurately interpret them.
✧ Interoception is essential in identifying what we need, feeling our emotions, and noticing how the body sensations relate to the emotions.
✧ Knowing what we need, and taking steps to fulfill those needs contribute to our emotional and mental well-being.
✧ Our biology is constantly working to balance our body systems, and reach optimum health. It is amazing!
Note: This is a short introduction to this concept, and the understanding of it is relatively new in the science field. The purpose of this post is for learning and not self-diagnosis or treatment.

If my January could be summarized with one word, that word would be “cocooning”.
On the visible level, I mainly stayed in, and spent time at home: supporting my kid to return to school, cooking, supporting my family, reading, gentle movement, and slowly re-started the work on the yoga therapy case studies.
On the less visible level, I practiced feeling my emotions, feeling my body, and noticing my thoughts and perceptions.
I celebrate the past month by taking in the good, and letting it settle in my being: little things in life, moments of connection, moments of presence, art making, moments of rest, moments of joy, and gratitude.
What is the word that characterizes your January?
P.S. In February I am offering a free spot for online personalized yoga sessions based on the yoga therapy learnings I did so far. If you are interested to experience gentle movement, breath, and rest, send me a message to find out more.
