After 1 year and a half being away from training I couldn’t wait for the day I could put my Gi back on and step on the mats. After the pregnancy and surgery, my body still has a long way to go. It felt like I started Jiujitsu again like it was day 1, but in all this frustration, jiujitsu brings out many lessons.
In my postpartum journey back to jiu jitsu, I am learning patience, understanding, humility, and appreciation.
I appreciate my professors as they encourage me, my teammates who are understanding and protective and appreciate myself for the lessons I am learning and the progress I am achieving.
Congratulations for bringing BJJ to another level in Qatar.
All the respect for

What a day! I competed in the two sports I love the most, running and BJJ. I wasn’t ready to run that morning as I haven’t trained running in a while, but still I was able to get second place in the 5k race. Then the day couldn’t get any better as I competed in my second BJJ competition a week after my first one, for that my body and mind were ready. I spent 2 months training and definitely learned my mistakes from the previous competition. Thank God I was able to get 🥇. I want to thank for hosting and organizing the competition, and all the people that supported me through out the process.

When i started Brazilian jiu-jitsu, less than 2 years ago I never thought that I would compete in the sport, but thank God I did.
I loved the process of preparation for the competition, waking up early in the morning to train, eating healthy, learning from my coaches and team mates and stepping on the mats everyday to improve and learn, and the support from my family, my coaches, my friends and my team mates has been extraordinarily and Im thankful for every conversation and messages of support I got from each and one of them.
I didnt win a medal on competition day but I learned alot, but i felt so alive stepping to compete, the adrenaline rush was real and in full effect. Just by so simple 5 minutes I was able to see my mistakes from before and now i’m able to correct them going forward. Jiujitsu is a game of small adjustments and a life long journey and I will compete as much as I can to keep learning to improve my game.
