It was a proud and memorable occasion for Arabian Legends Hockey Club, Al Khobar to welcome and honour Muhammad Kashif Ali, former Pakistan International Hockey Player, during the international friendly encounter between Arabian Legends Hockey Club and the Bahrain Hockey Association Team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Muhammad Kashif Ali represented Arabian Legends in the thrilling 3–3 draw and was one of the standout personalities of this special evening. His presence on the field brought international experience, quality and inspiration to the match, and he was specially recognised for his contribution and performance.

Kashif Ali has represented Pakistan at senior international level as a forward, with his international career recorded from 2007. FIH records also document his appearances for Pakistan at international level, reflecting a career in which he had the honour of wearing the national colours on the international hockey stage.

For Arabian Legends, this match was about much more than the final score. It was an opportunity to honour Muhammad Kashif Ali and recognise his contribution to Pakistan hockey, while bringing together players from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pakistan and other nationalities through the shared spirit of field hockey.

Having a Pakistan international player take the field alongside Arabian Legends players was a proud moment for the club and particularly inspiring for the younger and developing hockey community in Saudi Arabia. Arabian Legends and Bahrain Hockey Association Share Honours in Thrilling 3–3 Seven-a-Side Friendly in Al Khobar

AL KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia — Arabian Legends Hockey Club Al Khobar hosted the Bahrain Hockey Association team in an exciting seven-a-side international friendly match in Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The highly competitive encounter ended in a well-deserved 3–3 draw, providing players and spectators with an enjoyable evening of quality field hockey.

The match brought together experienced players from different nationalities and highlighted the growing enthusiasm for field hockey in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. Both teams played with determination, discipline and mutual respect, producing an entertaining contest from the opening whistle until the final moments.

The event was organized under the leadership of Mr. Jaffar Muhammad Ali Al Mattar, Owner and Chairman of Arabian Legends Hockey Club, whose continued encouragement and support have helped create valuable opportunities for field hockey players in Al Khobar.

Mr. Muhammad Usama Javed, Managing Director of Arabian Legends Hockey Club, supervised the organization of the match and welcomed the visiting Bahrain Hockey Association team, players, guests and supporters.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Rezwan Iqbal, FCCA, EY Tax and Zakat Manager, as the chief guest. He attended the event alongside his brother, Dr. Faizain Iqbal, MBBS, and their cousin, Mr. Sanaullah, a respected businessman.

During the gathering, Mr. Rezwan Iqbal expressed his intention to organize a one-day international hockey event in the near future under his supervision. The announcement was warmly welcomed by players and members of the hockey community, who viewed the proposed event as an important step towards promoting field hockey and strengthening sporting relations in the Gulf region.

The Arabian Legends team was led by captain Zeeshan Awan, while Moiz Malik represented the side as goalkeeper. International player Muhammad Kashif Ali was also part of the squad and contributed his experience to the contest.

The friendly concluded with both teams level at 3–3, a result that accurately reflected the balanced and competitive nature of the encounter. More importantly, the event strengthened friendship between the hockey communities of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and demonstrated the growing interest in field hockey in Al Khobar.

Players, guests and spectators thoroughly enjoyed the match, which served as another positive step towards developing field hockey activities and organizing more regional and international fixtures in the Kingdom.

Arabian Legends 2 – 2 Al-Jubail Buraq

Arabian Legends produced an impressive performance to hold Al-Jubail Buraq to a thrilling 2-2 draw in an intense 11-a-side hockey encounter.

The match began in spectacular fashion as Zeeshan Awan struck twice within the opening five minutes, giving Arabian Legends a dream start and putting immediate pressure on the opposition.

Led by international players Asad and Kashif Ali, Arabian Legends displayed strong organization, discipline, and attacking intent throughout the match. The team created several clear scoring chances and controlled key moments of the game.

Despite facing an opposition that featured five international players, and with several Arabian Legends players over 40 years of age, the team showed outstanding determination, experience, and unity on the field.

Arabian Legends were also without their key defender Sarosh, whose presence was missed in the lineup.

The club extends special appreciation to supporters, including Ali Bhai, who traveled nearly 60 km to support the team, and Naveed for his continued encouragement and commitment to the team.

Following Ramadan, Arabian Legends will resume regular training sessions under the guidance of Asad and Kashif Ali, aiming to further strengthen the squad and prepare for future competitions.
