A solid all-round performance by SRACO Cricket Club sealed a convincing 5-wicket victory over Asian Lions KFMMC Cricket Club in the EPCA OGC The Hundred 2026 – STAR Division.

Batting first, Asian Lions posted 122/7 in their 20 overs. SRACO bowlers kept things under control with disciplined spells from Shoukat Jalal (2/26), Bunty Dilbagh (1/10), and Syed Yasir (1/11).

In reply, SRACO chased down the target comfortably, finishing at 126/5 in just 16 overs. Rijjaan Rashid played a match-winning knock of 41 runs off 26 balls, well supported by Haroon Saleeh with 25 and Adil Ahmad with 22. Despite good efforts from Jafar C and Majid K with two wickets each, SRACO maintained the momentum throughout the chase.

May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, grant her the highest place in Jannah, and give patience, strength, and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreplaceable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

What a nail-biting encounter in the final Match

Royal Kashmir Cricket Club posted a strong total of 275/7 in their 40 overs.

In response, SRACO Cricket Club came out with great intent and nearly pulled off a memorable chase. Ghulam Dastgeer led from the front with a 106 off 86 balls, showing class, composure, and determination under pressure. He was well supported by Muhammad Amjad G (39) Adil A (37), Momin (31) & Sameer (24) keeping SRACO in the hunt till the very last moments.

However, in a heartbreaking finish, SRACO fell just short at 273/9, losing the match by only 2 runs.

Hard luck to SRACO Cricket Club. it was a brilliant team effort and a match that could have gone either way. The fight, resilience, and never-give-up attitude shown by the team, especially under pressure, was truly commendable. Keep your heads high, performances like this will surely lead to victories ahead!
