The Get Fit Gym has been closed since 21 November 2025 due to ongoing discussions with our landlord, AJ City Mall. We believe this closure is temporary, and we are doing everything we can to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Discussions are still in progress, and we are hopeful that by the end of next week we will reach a resolution and reopen our doors.

For all members with valid gym entry cards, your missed days will be fully covered or extended once the gym reopens.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Please give us another week and continue to follow this page for further updates.

🌋 GET FIT GYM CARDIO TEAM ADVENTURE – SAVO ISLAND HIKE

Sunday, 23rd November 2025

On this memorable Sunday, the Cardio Team of Get Fit Gym stepped outside the gym walls and into nature, embarking on an unforgettable hike across Savo Island to explore the dormant Savo Volcano.

🏔️ ABOUT SAVO ISLAND
Savo is the surface expression of a stratovolcano, with only the top third visible above sea level.

Dormant for nearly 100 years, it offered the perfect setting for adventure and discovery.

🚤THE JOURNEY

Distance: 43.8 km one way to the island.

Departure: 7:30 AM from the Yacht Club.

Return: 4:30 PM, back at the starting point.

💪 THE PURPOSE

This trip marked the conclusion of a challenging 6-week cardio program, designed to test and reveal each participant’s fitness level. The hike symbolized not just endurance, but also new beginnings in health and wellness.

- To celebrate the end of our 6-week cardio program, the team will hike the famous Savo Volcano.

- Nicknamed “Savo’s Ticking Time Bomb”, this active stratovolcano lies ~35 km northwest of Honiara.

- It has a dramatic history of eruptions, with the last major activity recorded in the 1830s–1840s.

🚤TRAVEL & GUIDES

- Departure via OBM boats on Sunday morning.

- Guided by experienced tour leaders from Sunset Lodge, Savo Island.

💵 PARTICIPATION

- Members: Must be registered in the current cardio session and pay the fee of $150.00.

- Non-members: May join depending on available boat space.
