𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓| Head Coach of the Solomon Islands Men’s U16 team, Eddie Rukumana, in a media conference this morning unveiled the 23-man squad set to compete in the OFC Men’s U16 Championship 2024.

The tournament will be held in Papeete, Tahiti, from July 28 to August 10.

Having successfully secured their spot through the qualification rounds in April, the Solomon Islands will face off against New Caledonia, Samoa, and hosts Tahiti in Group B.

Only two additional players are included from the squad in the qualification rounds in Tonga.

The team is scheduled to open their campaign against Tahiti, followed by matches against Samoa and New Caledonia in the group stages.

Both the winner and runner-up of the tournament will earn the privilege of representing Oceania at the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ in Qatar 2025.

The Solomon Islands squad leaves this Thursday.
