WRAP UP | Makira Ulawa Real Kakamora team has made history by winning their first-ever Solomon Cup title, defeating defending champions Malaita Eagles 3-0 in the grand final on Friday at the National Sports Stadium in Honiara.

Real Kakamora dominated early, scoring two goals in the first half through Andrew Hanua and Jeffery Bule. Hanua sealed the victory with his second goal in the second half, securing a memorable win for coach Kluivert Dagi Jnr and his team.

In the third-place playoff, Guadalcanal Hornets crushed Western Tomoko 7-1 to claim the bronze medal.

Solomon Cup 2025 Finals to be Held at National Stadium
Honiara, Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) is pleased to announce that the finals of the 2025 Solomon Cup will take place at the National Stadium in Honiara, following positive discussions with the Solomon Islands Government through the National Sports Council.

Match Schedule & Ticketing

Match timings are as follows:

• 11:00 AM: 3rd/4th Place Playoff (Guadalcanal v Western)
• 2:00 PM: Grand Final (Malaita v Makira Ulawa)

Ticket Prices:
• Adults: $30.00
• Children (under 12): $10.00
Tickets will be available at designated outlets, and fans are encouraged to secure theirs early to avoid disappointment.

Transport & Parking Advisory

With large crowds expected, the Organising Committee strongly advises spectators to use public transport where possible. Parking at the stadium will be limited, and roadside parking outside the venue will be strictly prohibited. Compliance with traffic and security measures will be enforced for everyone’s safety.

Stadium Entry Rules

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees:

• No entry will be permitted for persons under the influence of
alcohol.
• Weapons and prohibited items will be confiscated at security checkpoints.

RESULT | Defending champions Malaita Eagles have secured their place in the grand final of the Solomon Cup after a hard fought 1-0 victory over Western Tomoko in today’s second semi-final at Lawson Tama Stadium.

Both teams had several scoring opportunities in a tightly contested match, but it was Trevor Suluhia who broke the deadlock with a crucial goal just before extra time was announced.

The Eagles will now face Makira Ulawa Kakamora in the much anticipated grand final on Friday.

RESULT | Makira Ulawa Kakamora have booked their place in the grand final of the Solomon Cup after a stunning 4-2 comeback win over Guadalcanal Hornets in the first semi-final today.

Despite trailing 0-2 early in the second half following a brace from Hornets’ Terrison Weni, Kakamora bounced back in sensational fashion. They responded with two quick goals to draw level before sealing the match with two more, completing a thrilling turnaround.
