Returning to my morning pages today.
As I opened my notebook, I found a reminder I’d written to myself months ago. I’d completely forgotten it was there.
“Tell me a story. Make me care.”
— Anne Lamott
A simple sentence, but exactly what I needed to read.
It’s also a reminder of why we write things down. Sometimes we’re not writing for the person we are today. We’re writing for the version of ourselves who will need those words months, or even years, later.
I wonder if our subconscious is often one step ahead. It whispers to us to capture a thought, knowing that one day we’ll return to it when we’re ready to hear it.
As I continue writing the first draft of The Three Pillars of Hope Through Grief, this will remain my compass.
To share my story in a way that helps someone feel seen, understood and leaves them with hope, especially on the days when life feels unbearably heavy.
Sometimes all we need is someone who’s walked a little further ahead to remind us that we’re not alone, that what we’re feeling is part of being human, and that this too shall pass.
If you’d like to follow along as I write The Three Pillars of Hope Through Grief, I’m sharing the process, reflections and lessons I’m learning along the way on my Substack, together with a companion podcast.

Possibly one of the most stunning locations I’ve ever had the privilege of leading Breathwork ⛰️
Proud to be supporting the life-changing 999 Reset charity alongside , delivering morning breathwork sessions to help prepare body and mind for the day ahead.
Three unforgettable days.
Over 60 km of hiking through Norway’s breathtaking landscapes 🇳🇴
More than 80 incredible people, sharing the challenge, the laughter, the connection and the adventure.
A reminder that some of the most powerful things in life are also the simplest: disconnecting from our phones, reconnecting with ourselves, immersing ourselves in nature, and strengthening our connection with one another ♾️
A powerful few days with an incredible community
Next years plans already in the making by more to follow….
Ps
Of course with some stunning dips along the way 🥰💫

Earlier this year I nearly didn’t go on a retreat that was so calling me.
Because all the practical questions started showing up.
Could I justify the investment?
Could I take time away from my family?
Would I know anyone?
Would I fit in?
Looking back now, I’m so grateful I said yes.
It reminded me that stepping away from everyday life isn’t about escaping it.
Sometimes it’s exactly what allows us to return with more patience, shift of perspective and more presence for the people we love ❤️
That’s one of the reasons Lulu Lulu Berton and I created our Tuscany retreat.
We know how difficult it can feel to put yourself first.
I’d love to know…
What’s the biggest thing that would stop you booking a retreat?
