We took our Hoppetossa for the last trip this year, visiting children, grandchildren and my mother in Stocholm!❤️❤️
It takes us almost a week to travel in every direction, mostly because we have our furry friends Benji and Daisy to consider!😊🐕🐾
But we also like to explore new places and to take it easy on our way.
Just a few minutes away from Resarö, where Linn and her family lives,
Rein found a little island called Tallholmen.
A local boat club is taking very good care of it and they are also welcoming guests.
In the summer I think it can be very crowded but now in September we had the island completely to ourselves except for a family of deer and a lot of birds!🦌
It was perfect for us since we could easily go with our dinghy to visit Linn, Johan and the children.
On our way back home, we stopped on a wonderful island called Fifång south of Mörkö.
People have been living here since the 1300’s and the name, in Old Norse also from that time, is believed to mean something like “a good place to look for shipwrecks” 😊
Since 1999 it is a nature reserve.
The old oak trees are fantastic!
Södertälje Boat Society is taking care of the harbour and the few remaining buildings on the island and cattle from Mörkö are keeping the landscape open.
This is a place to return to💚
We are now in Nävekvarn, where Hoppetossa will be lifted out and spend
the winter.
Being a steel lady she can actually remain in the water over the winter but this year it is necessary to take her up in order to take care of some rust under the water line.
In april we will be back on the water again ⚓️
