FAZ TO CONDUCT SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS.
In a surprising move, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has decided to conduct national trials for the senior national team, a decision that has stirred controversy and sparked debate within the football community. Critics argue that this move undermines the credibility and competence of the Super League, National League, and Division 1 clubs. These leagues have long been the primary sources of talent for the national team, showcasing the best players and providing a robust scouting network. By bypassing these established channels, FAZ seems to be suggesting that these clubs lack the ability to identify and nurture top-tier talent. This not only insults the clubs but also raises questions about the trust and respect FAZ has for the footballing infrastructure that has been built over the years.

PLAYERS TO LEAVE EAGLES?

Several players are seeking transfers from Choma based MTN Super Division side Green Eagles to join other teams, but the club is reportedly withholding there clearance letters, preventing them from leaving the club.

Players who were sent on loan are forced to go back to Eagles or face disciplinary action from Green Eagles Football Club EXCO especially those employed as officers in the Zambia National Service.(ZNS)

A lot of players want to leave Eagles but we won't allow that to happen because we gave them jobs.

If they want to go, we will make sure they are removed from the government payroll and to those who are not in the coach's plans they will be send back to work or report back for general duties, according to a source within the club.

Meanwhile sources within Eagles camp have reveled that some players have been threatened to either continue playing for the Zambia National Service sponsored team or lose their jobs as servicemen.

And those players who have been released by the club should either report for duty or lose employment.the source added.
