IKSU Badminton

It’s time for our training sessions to take a summer break, but we’re sure there will still be plenty of action on the courts at IKSU this summer!

What an amazing season we’ve had! Here are some of the highlights:

🏸 IKSU Badminton was officially elected as an independent section at IKSU’s annual meeting 👨‍⚖️👩‍⚖️
🏸 We welcomed many new members 👥
🏸 We organized our christmas and spring tournaments, both of which were fully booked within just a few hours 🏆
🏸 For the first time, players represented IKSU in a national badminton competition — Umeå Nordiska — where we also brought home several medals 🥇🥈🥉

We’re really excited for everything that awaits next season, and we hope you’ll be part of it! 🤩

Last Sunday, we hosted our annual spring tournament at and what a day it was! 🏸🤩

With 40 players, an amazing crowd of supporters, delicious fika and countless of exciting matches, the atmosphere throughout the day was absolutely incredible!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines, and helped make the event such a success. We’re proud to be part of such a fantastic badminton community at IKSU! 🧡🤍

Now in May we will have our doubles tournament for IKSU-members!🌞🏸 Here is some info:

🗓️Date: May 10
🕝Time: 9:30 - 16:00
📍Location: IKSU Paris/Berlin
💸Fee: 100SEK/person paid later (fika is included)

☑️Booking:
-Open the ”Go Active!”-app
-Go to ”Classes” or ”Teamsports”
-Scroll to May 10
-Book ”Medlemsturnering badminton (dubbel)”

🚨BOTH team-members must book a spot!🚨

If you don’t have a partner yet, you can still sign up yourself and find one later. If you haven’t found a partner by the tournament day, we’ll match you with another player on-site. 👭👫👬

We start with a group stage and then a play-off stage ⚔️

Even if you’re not playing your welcome to come and hang out, watch some nice matches and buy some fika ☕️🍪

This weekend we competed at Umeå Nordiska!

For the first time (and certainly not the last), IKSU Badminton had players representing the club in a national competition 🧡🤍🧡🤍

With 17 IKSU Badminton players competing across four different categories, it’s safe to say the weekend was a great success!

So much fun, team spirit and we also brought home several medals:
