Our young Soft ball stars showed great performance in yesterday’s matches. In the opening game, the team displayed excellent teamwork and fought well to keep the contest alive until the end. In the second match, they performed at their best, and were on track for a win until bad weather forced an early end to the game. Despite the result, the team’s performance was commendable – they’re right to be proud 👏🏻.

The match showed great energy, teamwork, and growing confidence across the squad. Many players contributed with both bat and ball, which is exactly what we want to see as a developing team.

The team also benefited from excellent running between the wickets, which helped keep the scoreboard moving throughout the innings.

Fielding Effort

The fielding energy was good throughout the match. There were a few nice catches and some sharp run-out opportunities created by alert fielding.

This is an area where the team continues to improve with every match.

Even in a strong win, there are always areas we can improve as a team.

1. Reduce Extras

2. Communication in the Field

3. Converting Starts into Bigger Scores

4. Maintaining Intensity

We will focus on these areas in the coming matches.

Well done to all the players and thanks for your continued support.

🏆 T30 U13 - SportyGo 2026 Champions Crowned 🏆
A Season to Remember ✨
Huge congratulations to the boys for an unforgettable tournament win! 💪

From the first ball of the season, we showed ❤️, discipline 💼, and belief 🌟 — the traits of true champions.

Every challenge made us stronger; every setback brought us closer. This campaign wasn’t about individuals chasing glory, but teammates fighting for one another 🤝 and finding ways to win when it mattered most. 🔥

⚔️ The Batting: Resilience & Fireworks 💥
When TJ fell early, Vivan stood tall and calmed the nerves.
Then came the partnerships that changed everything:
• Anchor ⚓️: Pratik & Rithwik rebuilt with maturity.
• Launch 🚀: Pratik & Vihaan Patil lifted the tempo with fearless, classy cricket — proper shots, pure intent.
• Finish 🔥: Idhant powered through the death overs to post 334 🏟️.
Pratik’s 149 👑 was a masterclass in control; Vihaan’s straight hitting ⚡ lit up the ground.

🛡️ The Defense: Strength Under Fire 🎯
Defending 334 in a final is never easy — pressure, crowd, noise 📣 — but champions don’t flinch.
• Early Breakthroughs 💥: Idhant struck early; Vihaan Patil’s long‑off catch 🧤 turned the momentum.
• Clutch Bowling 🎳: Arrav bounced back to take Aman’s key wicket ✊.
• Ice‑Cool Finish ❄️: Pratik & Arya closed it out with calm precision. 💪

🌟 More Than a Scorecard

• Vihaan Sathgare ❤️: The heartbeat of the team — selfless and spirited 12th man. 🙌

🏅 The Legacy
Trophies fade. Numbers blur. But the friendships, belief, and attitude will last forever.

We didn’t just play cricket — we lived it. 💙

🏏✨ Vizag Tour 2025 – Day 1 Highlights

Over 40 SSCA boys kicked off a week-long International cricket tour in Vizag, and Day 1 delivered great cricket, strong effort, and valuable learnings 💪🔥

🐯 SSCA Tigers vs VZM District

SSCA Tigers: 148/9 (35 overs)
VZM District: 152/2 (18.4 overs)
Result: Lost by 8 wickets

Batting first, the Tigers showed positive intent and ran well between the wickets 🏃‍♂️
However, after getting set, wickets fell at crucial moments.

⭐ Ahaan (45 runs) stood tall in the lower order to push us to a respectable total.
In the field, a few dropped catches and missed chances proved costly as VZM chased comfortably.

📌 Learning: Convert starts, sharper fielding, and finish strong.

🦁 SSCA Lions vs JSR U14

Winning the toss, the Lions chose to bat and posted a fighting 162 in 30 overs 💥

An early run-out saw Jai depart, but Rithvik & Reyansh rebuilt calmly.
Thejas added momentum in the middle, while Tarun, Kabir & Omkar finished strongly with key boundaries 👏

Post-lunch fatigue showed in the field, and an aggressive JSR opener didn’t allow pressure to build.

📌 Learning: Sharper fielding, disciplined bowling, fewer extras.

🐆🐻 Cheetahs & Cubs – Day 1 Report

What a start to the tour!
Two matches played (16 & 14 overs) and the boys gave it their all 💯

🔹 Match 1
Chasing 130, Avyaan & Arjith stitched a brilliant partnership to bring us close to victory.
Shaad led the bowling attack, supported well by Arjith, Advait, Ryan & Avyaan.
🧤 Aathmik’s wicketkeeping was a standout highlight!

📌 Learning: Reduce extras and take the game deep.

🔹 Match 2
Batting first, we crossed 160 runs 🚀
Nivedh & Advait gave a flying start, with Nivedh anchoring the innings.
Harshil’s quick runs boosted the tempo, and the rest batted smartly till the end.

Bowling was tight with strong spells from Krishna, Harshil, Nivedh, Parthi & Advait 🎯

📌 Focus ahead: Partnerships, no run-outs, and consistent line & length.

🔥 Day 1 Done. Day 2 Loading…

More cricket. More learning. More memories 🇮🇳🏏

🧘 Building Better Athletes: Successful Yoga Session with Vyasa Yoga

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a special 1-hour yoga session conducted for our Academy group at CSC, led by the renowned team from Vyasa Yoga on Saturday 22nd November.

At Scorpien Sports Cricket Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole athlete. This session was designed to introduce our young players to the critical importance of yoga, not only for enhanced sports performance but also for lifelong general well-being.
The session was highly active and thoroughly enjoyed by the players. While some of the asanas presented a healthy challenge, we are confident that through dedicated, regular yoga and stretching, the children will see significant improvements in their flexibility, strength, and focus.

A similar session is already planned and will be conducted at the Dempsey Centre in the near future.

We extend our deepest gratitude to:
Vyasa Yoga and the teachers who led the session for their expertise and dedication.
All the parents and players who generously devoted their extra time to participate in this valuable program.

SCORPIEN SOFTBALL TEAM ON A HIGH WITH 4 WINS OUT OF 5 GAMES.

Our budding Scorpien youngsters played five softball matches against RMCA and SCC teams at the Tanglin indoor halls on 2nd and 16th November. With a relatively new group of players, they approached the games with passion and enjoyment. Although it was sometimes challenging for the team to combine well—since most do not train together—they stepped onto the field with the vigor and enthusiasm unique to their age.

On 2nd November, the Scorpien boys won both their matches. On 16th November, they secured two victories and lost one narrowly. Beginning competitive matches at such a young age helps the boys quickly understand and adapt to different aspects of the game. Playing indoors also allowed them to avoid the unpredictability of the weather.

The players who took part and excelled in batting, bowling, and fielding were Mithran, Yahil Varman, Aadhavan, Idhant, Hansh, Milan, Sharun, Nimalan, Saastha, Vaishnav, Vyom, Sameer, Ryan, and Kabir. We are deeply grateful for the support of the parents, whose encouragement ensures that the boys enjoy a competitive yet learning-focused atmosphere. We also encourage new members of the softball group to sign up for upcoming matches and be part of this exciting journey. The next event for the softball group is on 30th November at Tanglin trust School.
