Dear A1 Family,

Most of the girls started with us in Primary 3. I still remember clearly, back then even getting the ball past the half court line was already a challenge. They fell many times, but they kept going. Even in games where they only scored 2 points, as parents, you were still there, supporting them, encouraging them, and watching them get back up again and again.

All these moments stay with me. Seeing them train 3 to 4 times a week, honestly, they feel like my own kids. And the growth I’ve seen in them over the years is something I won’t forget.

To reach Top 4 is a big achievement. As parents, you will understand why it means so much. It’s not just about results, it’s about the journey they went through to get here.

To the girls, thank you. For not giving up during those tough baseline runs, for pushing through the struggles, and for learning from every loss. All these moments will make you stronger, not just as players, but as people.

All these things plate best for your game tomorrow
I’m very proud of all of you.

Introducing Alexander 🏀

Alexander started basketball at the age of 8 out of pure interest, even when his school did not offer it as a CCA. From young, he has shown that anything is possible when you truly want it.

He represents what it means to have heart over height. Despite going up against bigger and taller players, he fights for every rebound. He appears out of nowhere to steal the ball, and quickly turns defence into offence with his assists.

He plays with nonstop energy. 40 minutes on court is not an issue. Falling down is not an issue. As long as he is on the court, he gives everything.

Do you know why Alexander is so explosive and can jump so well?

He also represented his school in NSG Volleyball:
– 2nd place in Division 1 (Junior), earning “Best Setter”
– 2nd place in Division 2 (Primary 6), recognised as “Most Potential Player”

— Player Profile —
Jersey number: #11
Why #11: Inspired by Tetsuya Kuroko ( #11) from Kuroko no Basket
Favourite player: Kobe Bryant
Who has the best skills in A1: Dabriel Chua ( #8)

Heart over height. Keep going, Alexander.

Introducing Kayven Ng 🏀

From Primary 3 to now, Kayven has been growing in the game with strong support from his dad, who played a big role in starting his basketball journey.

On the court, he brings energy to the team, always encouraging his teammates and lifting the spirit. Off the court, he’s the one everyone enjoys being around, funny, easygoing, and always making people smile.

As a shooting guard, Kayven is known for his shooting. Once he finds his rhythm, he becomes a real scoring threat.

Big congratulations to Kayven and Red Sw****ka Primary School for making it into the Tier 2 semi-finals.

No matter how much they grow, deep down every child is still that little one who finds joy in simple things like a playground, laughter, and time with their best friend. As PSLE approaches, remember not to let stress take over. Take a break, breathe, play a little. A calm mind learns best, reset, then come back stronger.
