Have you ever heard about strength being
❌ Exercises for guys
❌ All about building muscle
❌ Will definitely become big
❌ Requires a gym
❌ Burn few calories
These are all common misconceptions about what strength training is really all about!
Most importantly, Strength training is not only meant for athletes. Strength training is beneficial to everyone, improving your general health, reducing the risk of plenty of chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, arthritis etc. Your body will thank you for strength training as you grow older!

The term ‘Power’ is a lesser-known concept, which many people would mistake it as Strength. However, there is a distinct difference between Power and Strength.
Strength is the amount of force you can exert, basically, the stronger you are, the heavier you can lift. Whereas Power has both the elements of speed and strength, the more powerful you are, the faster you can move the load.
Similarly, to strength, power training is important. For example, you have the strength to cross a traffic light road. But the traffic has a time limit of 20 seconds, without Power, you would not be able to get over in time.

Endurance is an umbrella term for multiple concepts
✔️ Aerobic (cardio)
✔️ Muscular endurance
✔️Speed endurance
Endurance training should not be neglected because it helps you to be able to sustain physical activity for a longer period of time. Endurance goes beyond just being for athletes, it helps with day to day life too!
For example, having stronger aerobic capacity helps with walking. A better muscular endurance helps you to carry things around with ease. All these everyday actions won’t be as tiring anymore, you would not be struggling to carry groceries you bought from the supermarket, saving you from going on 2 separate trips.

There has always been a misconception on Agility, such that
Agility = Speed.
However, there is a difference! Speed is about how fast can you move in one direction, whereas Agility is much more, it is your ability to accelerate, decelerate and rapidly change the direction of your body in response to a stimulus.
Agility is controlled by your body balance, coordination, the centre of gravity and speed. Essentially, it helps you prevent injury. Most important, agility is not only meant for sports, but it also extends beyond just physical activities, it helps with day-to-day life too.

"Recovery is not important, recover is basically just resting and not doing anything." These are some of the misconceptions of what Recovery is.
Recovery is one of the most important aspects of an exercise program. It is what enables the body to adapt to the stress of the exercise, making you stronger and fitter.
Recovery replenishes your energy stores and repairs the damaged tissues in your body.
Without recovery, you will not see the fitness outcome you want to achieve. Furthermore, it may result in injuries, which you definitely want to avoid.
The process of recovery does not only mean resting and doing nothing, but there are also plenty of different ways
✔️ Hydrotherapy
✔️ Thermotherapy (Heat Therapy)
✔️ Cryotherapy (Ice Therapy)
✔️ Active Recovery
✔️ Stretching
✔️ Compression Garments
✔️ Massage
✔️ Sleep
✔️ Nutrition
