To my sec 4s:

Today marks the end of your journey here in mayflower basketball. Hope you guys have settled in and properly went through your thoughts.

To be frank, today was a meaningless game, win or lose we are not advancing to semis, win or lose, you have no additional perks in your life.

If the game you played had no meaning, why are we even playing for? 

What gives meaning to these 4 years is everything that you guys had went through together, all your ups and your downs, every dream, every belief every hope that you have had for yourself and your team gave these 4 years a meaning.

At the end of the day you might not had a dramatic end for your season in blazing glory with a piece of medal that you will definitely forget about it in a few months time 

But you can walk away with these 2 endings

1. Look back at all your efforts throughout these 4 years and ask yourselves what you could had done better and what you had done better that got you here today. If you are proud of what you've achieved, great. If you leave with regrets, leave with regrets and a plan, a plan for improvements, a plan of growth and a plan to get better. 

2. Live in the past of regrets and pain, make excuses for everything that had went wrong that cause your ultimate failure

If there is one thing you can take away from the game of basketball. Understand that "NEXT PLAY" dose not just apply in what you do on the court, but off it as well.

We come to the end of this short series, thank you all for watching throughout these 7 days.
Whatever sport, whatever craft you're trying to hone, I hope that what you guys take away from this series is that there is no shortcuts, continue showing up, continue giving your best effort. Only through consistent effort will you be able to reach for whatever you're striving for.
