Singapore, 22 March 2026 — The Seigokai Karate-Do Association of Singapore successfully conducted a Kumite Seminar at the Singapore Judo Federation, bringing together a total of more then 60 participants ranging from young beginners to experienced practitioners.

The seminar was led by distinguished guest instructor Sensei Dunyarat Rattanaphun, whose impressive credentials include serving as a member of the Thailand National Team, National Head Coach, and former World Karate Federation (WKF) Judge & former Asian Karate Federation Referee. His expertise delivered a highly enriching and technical learning experience for all attendees.

The event was honoured by the presence and strong support of the JCCI Singapore Foundation, led by Vice President Mr Satoshi Shijima and his team. Their support and active involvement were instrumental in the success of the seminar, reflecting JCCI Singapore Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering community development, youth engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration through sports and martial arts.

Participants benefited from a series of engaging highlights, including kata demonstrations and live Kumite sparring sessions inspired by Sensei Dunyarat’s expert guidance. These sessions not only showcased technical excellence but also reinforced the core values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.

A special highlight of the event was the exchange of tokens of appreciation between Mr Shijima and Seigokai President Shihan Kelvin Koh, symbolising mutual respect and the strong partnership between the organisations.

The Seigokai Karate-Do Association of Singapore extends its sincere appreciation to the JCCI Singapore Foundation, whose generous support and presence were key to making this event a success. Appreciation is also extended to the Singapore Judo Federation for generously providing the venue for this programme.

This seminar reflects a shared vision of strengthening the local karate community while promoting meaningful collaboration between organisations dedicated to sports excellence and community building.
