Many of you will remember our beloved PFC alum, Rene “foo’so” Comprendio. He wasn’t just our talented keyboardist at OT or a teammate on the ESPZEN pitch—he was the heart of so many of our moments together. Beyond the game, he carried that same passion into championing football for underprivileged children, giving them joy and hope through the sport we all loved.

Now, in this difficult moment, Rene needs us. Let’s rally around him as a community, just as he has always given his heart to us and to others. Together, we can show him that he is not alone and that the bonds we built on and off the field are stronger than ever.

The Cavite Regional Football Association (CAREFA) stands in full support of Coach Rene Comprendio and his family during this very difficult time.

Coach Rene has dedicated much of his life to developing football in our communities and shaping the lives of countless young athletes. Many players, scholars, and coaches today carry the lessons, discipline, and passion for the game that he tirelessly shared both on and off the field.

Today, Coach Rene is bravely battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and his family humbly asks for our help as they face the challenges ahead. As one football community, we come together not only as players and coaches, but as a family that supports one another in times of need.
