Futsal Mania Sunday League Season 1 Results (15/07)

All Stars 9 TJB 10

An entertaining game produced the highest scoring match of the season till date. The All Stars drew first blood within 2 minutes of play but it was TJB who took their chances wisely to end the first half with a 5-3 lead despite having a penalty saved by an in form All Stars goalkeeper. The second half started in a flurry with a promise of more goals to come as both teams adopted an open, attacking style of play. The All Stars despite having their goalkeeper limp off midway through the half with an injury put up a good fight and may have nicked the game had they taken their chances better.

Fratellanza 3 Hurricane F.C 0 (WALKOVER)*

Congratulations to Kachang Puteh F.C for winning the Futsal 5's Challenge on 1st July 2012! The team were unbeaten throughout all 6 matches, scoring an impressive 38 goals en-route to claiming the winners medal. Kachang Puteh F.C will now look forward to defending their title in the next Futsal 5's Challenge in September.

Futsal Mania Sunday League Season 1 Results (08/07)

All Stars 2 Fratellanza 12

Fratellanza continued their dominance in the Futsal Mania Sunday League with a convincing 12-2 victory against a depleted All Stars side. The All Stars who had only 5 players for the game found themselves unable to match the pace and tempo of their opponents. The match turned on its ugly head close to the end as players from both sides were booked for unsporting challenges. The Hurricane's are up next against the league leaders while the All Stars look to rediscover their footing against a resurgent TJB.

TJB 6 Hurricane F.C 3

A closely matched first half saw both teams battle it out to end the period 1-1. TJB had taken an early lead by capitalizing on a defensive lapse by the Hurricane's only to find themselves conceding the equalizer after some good build up play by the Hurricane's. The second half started in a frenzy and TJB took their chances well to race into a 4-1 lead within minutes. The Hurricane's came back strongly and reduced the deficit via 2 powerful trademark strikes by their number 10, but their attacking impetuous was soon punished by TJB who exploited the porous Hurricane back-line to win the game 6-3.

Futsal Mania Sunday League Season 1 Results (24/06)

Hurricane F.C 6 All Stars 5

This match was aptly described as "a game of two halves" by an observer and justifiably so as the first half saw the Hurricane's successfully implement a soak and strike approach which saw them take a 3-0 lead at half-time via efficient counter-attacking play.
Fatigue then took its toll on the Hurricane's which resulted in the All Star's storming back to equalize before take the lead. The Hurricane's eventually regrouped and once again used the counter-attack to their advantage to score 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to seal their second win for the season.

Fratellanza 9 TJB 0

A frantic start in the first 5 minutes saw both teams jostling for possession and control of the game. The TJB players displayed good technique and movement but it was the more organized and experienced Frantellanza that eventually took control of proceedings and opened the scoring. With the duck broken, the goals started to flow as Frantellanza took advantage of TJB's defensive lapse and soft goalkeeping to run out 9-0 winners to once again affirm themselves as front runners of the league.
