Race day. Last race of the season. The Singapore 100 at Sentosa. KK, Richard and myself were racing in the MTB race. It was short, 1km loop, 10 laps, but with a 300m stretch on the beach. The Orbea Oiz was our weapon of choice along with the Vittoria Barzo on the front and the Terreno on the back. Pressure on front due to the sand was 16psi as it was the barzo, tbe side walls are stronger this can hold the low pressure, and the back was 18psi. As you can see the bike and tires were amazing. The video gives you a sense of the race and how it was. Super happy to get a win, the first in a long time. Sadly getting old and not as fit but it’s coming back. Looking forward to the next race.

Just picked up the fantastic new Orbea ORCA Aero M20iLTD at CANNASIA. The bike is amazing smooth and slick. CANNASIA & Vittoria have been great supporters over the past few years to the team and provide superb service all round. A massive thanks to Chris and looking forward to the rides ahead on this beautiful new machine.

UCI Mountain Bike Marathon Masters World Championship 2023
Team member KK ( ) racing in Western Australia Dwellingup.
It was cold, wet and windy during the week, though the sun was out on race day yet still a 7 degrees morning.( definitely not KK perfect temperature).
Bike for the race, ORBEA ALMA M25 (2022) Shimano XT drive trans, Vittoria BRAZO front 29 X 2.35 and MEZCAL rear 29 X 2.35.
60km course were superb loads of single track and steep loose climbs, descenting pace at table top jump and berms are insane!
It’s a 100% fun track to race, highly recommended to ride at the Dwellingup area!
70 participants on the starting lists, 50 finishers and KK finished 26th in his category.

Long weekend started the right way.

Orbea day out. All on full sus, hard tail and Cas on his zero suspension. Bikes are a dream as you can see.

All on Vittoria tires which also make life a lot easier.

Inaugural gravel Audax in Asia. 150 km off-road. Brutal day, 8 hours 51 minutes in the saddle.

Fortunately I had two things going for me. My Orbea Oiz TR and my Vittoria Terreno tires.

The bike was incredible. Almost 9 hours and nothing went wrong. Three stages of lockout was perfect, the geometry and comfort second to none. Technically it took everything. Watch the video to see how harsh the conditions were.

I knew it was going to be a long day and tire choice was critical. Good rolling but with grip on the descents where it can be mossy which made the track super slippery. The tires were perfect for the trail and conditions.

All in all a great day, bike and tires really did make the difference.

New Vittoria Terreno tires on bike today. Incredibly easy to get on the bike, tubeless and got on rim with only a foot pump. On the trail they were like glue and on the gravel they rolled beautifully. Big thanks to Vittoria Singapore for getting them to me so quickly. Loving them.
