There are some people you coach who end up teaching you far more than you ever taught them 🙏🏽
Years ago, I had the privilage of coaching Dr. Aaron Beck, globally recognized as the father of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Even though, Dr. Beck by then had a hip replacement surgery and was in his mid 80's, he used to come to the court couple of times keen to learn and improve his game.
After one of our sessions, he gifted me this book 'Prisoners of Hate' authored by him.
One of the lessons that has stayed with me for years is that we don't react to events, but we react to our interpretation of them.
Anger begins not with reality but with the stories we create around it.
If its on the tennis court or daily lives, we have a choice as to how we frame our reality.
Grateful for the conversations, lessons and this book. Your work has helped millions understand the human mind 🙏🏽

There is a "hidden curriculum" in sports that you don't see while you’re in it.
My curriculum started in Pune, took me to USA for close to 10 years, and it's been a decade this year on this Island state
From starting tennis recreationally to moving on to junior competitive level, to NCAA College tennis on scholarship as a student athlete, to Corporate life, and now helping others get better.
Very fortunate enough to be able to use as a bridge to different stages and parts of life.
Now I'm fortunate enough to help people write better life stories using the same bridge.
No matter which level you reach or play in sports, there is always a curriculum that you are journeying through which you don't see while you're in it.

Teaching is a privilege that lets me learn from amazing people everyday.
Jason, is a professional orchestral conductor, leadership coach and therapist.
Because of his deep musical background he understands the cadence of rhythm and timing, and the art of repetition. He doesn't get bored with drills, as he understands that focused time in rehearsals produces a stronger performance.
No instant gratification,no quick fix. Just showing up in presence with an open and curious mind with a desire to work towards life enhancing goals.
Show up to be the best that you can be.

"Remember the world of tennis teaching is like a fishbowl, there is no filtering system. So you should know what you're swimming in."
There is close to 70% similarities in the swing motions between all top players. Agreed there are different variations of forehand as the ball never comes the same way, but to be great you've to be brilliant with basics.

3 Lessons from AO 2026 🇦🇺
The last 3 days of AO this year was a masterclass in grit and getting over your nerves.
Here are my top 3 takeaways from this years first GS:
1️⃣ Your Inner Voice is the Only One That Matters 🧠
38-year-old Djokovic just proved that age is a number, his mindset and self belief are his superpower. He took down a on court "bully" 15 years his junior by staying mentally unshakable.
The Lesson: Believe in yourself. Eat critics like cookies. Be your own best coach.
2️⃣ The Serve (Alcaraz & Rybakina) 🚀
Both champions didn't chase more power in the off-season my changing their serve motion; they chased efficiency. Alcaraz and Rybakina simplified their serve motion for variation and accuracy.
Tip: Stop trying to hit through the fence. Focus on a consistent toss and hitting your spots. Accuracy wins more matches than raw speed.
3️⃣ Compete Until the very end (The De Minaur Spirit) 🇦🇺
Alex De Minaur’s match against Alcaraz was a lesson in Competitive Character. Even when the score turned one-sided, his body language never dropped. He didn't throw in the towel; he took it on the chin like a fighter in front of his home crowd.
The Lesson: Your opponent can beat your score, but they should never beat your spirit. Positive body language is a choice, staying relevant in a match is a choice.
Thank you for reading!

" Own your progress."
teaches you a valuable lesson that extends far beyond the : the value of ownership. When faced with challenges, it's tempting to point fingers and blame external circumstances. But real and progress come from taking ownership of your actions.
This shift can have a profound impact - not just on your tennis game, but on all areas of your life. The who see the most improvement are those who take ownership of their game, regardless of the conditions.
While external motivators like coaches and trophies can provide temporary motivation, it's the to improve and be better than yesterday that will ultimately lead to success. rewards those who take ownership and responsibility.
