Itโs been 20 days since I met Andrewโฆ and Iโm still processing the depth of that conversation.
What struck me most?
It didnโt feel overwhelming.
It feltโฆ relaxed yet intense.
Relaxed in the way ideas flowed freely.
Intense in the way it stretched my thinking about whatโs truly possible.
From reimagining โ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ง๐ฟ๐โ beyond a message into a scalable B2B frameworkโฆ
to seeing speaking not as the end, but the beginning of deeper transformation workโฆ
to integrating AI not just as a tool, but as a differentiator in learning designโฆ
So much clarity came from one conversation.
And if thereโs one word that captures my journey since joining APSS this year, it is:
๐ntentional learning
๐กavigating change
๐งranslating knowledge into action
๐xpanding perspectives
๐กurturing relationships
๐ฆtretching comfort zones
๐mbodying growth
This is not just learning.
This is becoming.
Thank you, Andrew Chow, CSP, for giving your precious time so generously to guide and challenge me.
I am grateful for the many ideas now sitting in my to-do listโฆ waiting to be brought to life.

I had the privilege of working with the ๐ฏ๐ฌ๐๐ต ๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐๐ผ๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐; a remarkable group of leaders from ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐, and ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐บ, bringing together ๐ณ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฌ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฒ๐
๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ across engineering, production, QA, business administration, facilities & maintenance, HR, and productionn planning.
What stood out most wasnโt just their experience. It was their ๐ต๐๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ and ๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ผ ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป.
They shared their personal motivations for leadership.
Being target-driven

Leadership, after all, is deeply personal before it becomes organisational.
As we honour the rich history of the organisation, there is also a strong, shared commitment:
To become AI-powered
To stay future-ready
To lead with both technology and humanity
This journey doesnโt end here.
Over the next 2 months, they will continue learning through ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐, before reconvening for Workshop 2 to share their growth stories and deepen their leadership practice.

AI can automate tasks, but it cannot replace human connection. Leaders must coach, not command.

AI can optimise processes. Leaders must ensure the work still has purpose, values, and human impact.

April felt like a prank I didnโt sign up for.
My health went into a whirlwind: fever/headache came and went, my body felt constantly lethargicโฆ and everything I had built over the last 4 months, ready to escalate to the next level, suddenly fell flat.
Why?
Perhaps Iโve been running the race like Iโm still 25โฆ ๐
Truth is, 25 may be a stretch and honestly, I loved myself best at 35.
So the real question became:
Here are 5 reminders Iโm taking seriously now:
Itโs no longer about how much I can do, but how well I manage my energy; physically, mentally and emotionally.

Rest is not a reward. Itโs a requirement.
Sleep, pause, and space are now strategic.
๐11 PM โ 3 AM: Most critical for deep, uninterrupted sleep.
1 AM (Gallbladder): The body starts breaking down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, requiring you to be at rest.
3 AM (Liver): The liver is at its peak detoxifying the body, filtering blood, and processing toxins.
๐3 AM โ 5 AM: Time for lung detoxification.
๐5 AM โ 7 AM: Time for intestinal waste removal.
Zumba, walks, stretching: movement that energises, not drains. (Consistency over intensity.)
Fatigue whispers before it screams.
Iโm learning to respond earlier, not later.

Different experience.
Different personalities.
Same intention: to support the coacheeโs growth.
Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in coaching sessions facilitated by Yina and Peter. While the session stemmed from PROSUADE, the coaching topic was fully owned by the coachee.
And that made all the difference.
As observers, we witnessed something powerful:
how questions can gently move someone from a
to the ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฎ beneath it.
Like peeling an onion, layer by layer.
With each question, more surfaced:
Hidden blockages
Unseen blind spots
Patterns that, if left unchecked, could create new problems even after solving the current one
Thatโs the beauty of coaching.
Not giving answers, but creating awareness.
As a solopreneur, I found myself reflecting on how my work is not just what I doโฆ
but how it shapes my ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ and in turn, how that builds my ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ด๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ.
The questions challenged my thinking.
Shifted my perspective.
Sharpened my clarity.
And Iโm reminded again that clarity doesnโt come from thinking harder alone.
It comes from thinking with others who can see what we cannot.
A special appreciation to my group mates, Your encouragement and non-judgmental presence created a space where it was safe to explore, question, and grow.
That kind of spaceโฆ is not common.
But it is powerful.

A big thank you to Eugene Ong, Ronald Lee, and Gabriel Kang for sharing your expertise so generously. I hosted ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐๐ป๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป this evening and I am deeply grateful.
Everyone who signed up showed up and some came through the invitation of friends.
That, to me, already speaks volumes.
What made the evening even more meaningful was the presence and support of people who have journeyed with me:
My group coaching mate, Wee Leng
My new friends from BNI Crescendo Singapore: Milson, Michelle, Jason, Zeng Kai, and Ping
Thank you for showing up, for your encouragement, and for being part of this space.
I also want to thank my coaches for encouraging me to share, to step forward, and to give hope to others.
Eugene Seah, Yina Han and Peter Lee, I did it.

๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐๐ป๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป โ we all have our hard knocks.
I shared my life map.
The ups, the doubts, the turning points.
And how I use the ๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ง ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ to move forward.
We had a short Q&A, and what stayed with me was not just the questions but the reflections shared by participants when I asked:

Each wordโฆ a reminder of why we show up.
Why we share.
Why we dare to try.
Because when one person shares, someone else finds a little more light.
So hereโs a question for all of us:

It's a fair question. With so many tools available today, it is tempting to believe we can figure everything out ourselves.
AI is incredibly useful. I use it too. But most of the time, we use it to ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, not to be ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฑ.
A human coach does something very different. A good coach
๐ listens beyond the words
๐งฒ senses misalignment or incongruence in what we say.
โ๏ธ notices the hesitation, the contradiction, the unfinished thought, and
Then they ask powerful questions that make us stop and think:
Those questions cannot be rushed. They require presence, curiosity and deep listening.
Recently, I experienced this with my three coaches.
Eugene Seah challenged the negative voices that quietly shape how I see myself and what I believe is possible.
Peter Lee surfaced the gap I had not fully seen.
Han held the space for me to declutter my thinking and find clarity.
I am also grateful to Wee Leng, Jonathan, Tracy, Yian and Joanna who are walking this learning journey with me. Learning alongside others makes the reflection deeper and the growth more meaningful.
As a trainer and coach myself, this was a powerful reminder:
Because when we think together, we become sharper together. ๐
And sometimes, the most powerful breakthroughs come not from answers, but from the
