Purify easy everyday

In general, to purify is essentially a process to remove unwanted substances that add no value, for example, purifying polluted water. We want to filter our lives and what we let ourselves come in contact with and consume. Research shows that we are exposed to more than hundreds of thousands of different toxic chemicals on a daily basis. Toxin build up can indeed cause diseases and malfunctioning of bodily systems.

Living in the metropolis I call home exposes me to too many (or too much) toxins for my body to expel on its own. We are subjected to toxins everyday from chemicals in our food, water and air to what we put on our bodies; clothes, make-up and cleaning products. Furthermore, our food choices may not always be the best, and we would need some help cleaning out those junk food and sinful indulgences out of our systems. Above all, we deal with stress on a regular basis and some of us work (and party) really long hours.

In this metropolis, the city never sleeps. However, we do need to care for ourselves and invest in our wellbeing a lot more. I liken our bodies to cars where we need to constantly care for it, as much as we drive ourselves far, long (and mad too). The regular maintenance and servicing should not be neglected so the car can continue its voyages. Let's try to prevent the breakdowns and illnesses as much as we can.

Yes, our bodies can naturally cleanse. No, they are not able to do so efficiently with the buildup of toxins and stress they face. Hence, we all need some help to rid off the toxins we accumulate in our days.

Our bodies are symbiotic artforms where organs and systems are concerted to make us wonderfully functional. We need to care for it in a holistic perspective, giving attention to all pillars - body, mind, emotions, spirit. I believe the first step to succeeding in purifying is to align the heart and mind with the intention to feel better and live better. A positive mindset and ready heart will win us half the battle. And the rest would not be difficult.

Purifying is a simple cleansing process. we can include the good stuff and filter the bad stuff. We can consume foods and drinks are can aid in repairing and doing good in our body.

Some cleansing foods include:

- Avocado
- Beets
- Cruciferous veggies like broccoli and cabbage
- Dill
- Green tea
- Onion and Garlic
- Wheatgrass
- Probiotic-rich foods/drinks like Kimchi and Kefir

We can filter some things like these listed below:

- Thoughts
- Food
- Products
- Habits
- Activities
- Responses

We can also embark on detox programs and retreats to let our bodies take some time off the hard work we put it through. We can be conscious of cleaning out particular organs like our liver and gut, paying attention to what we eat and drink for instance. We can improve blood circulation and refuel our body with different exercises and nutrients.

With purification included into our lifestyle, we can rid off symptoms like:

- Headaches
- Sinus problems
- Bloating
- Sleep problems
- Food cravings
- Rashes
- Acne
- Heart palpitations
- Heart burn
- Anxiety
- Allergies
- Difficulty conceiving
- Difficulty concentration
- Trouble losing weight

In a nutshell, purifying is a lifelong journey of taking conscious steps to be better and live better with a holistic perspective. Baby steps are great too, as long as we jump on the bandwagon to invest in our wellbeing.

Happy New Year everyone! I took a hiatus from the world for awhile and now all energised to say hello to everyone and everything ((:

Perhaps everyone has a new year resolution or several. I have goals and dreams where any time is a good time to actualise on the items on the list. I want to expand my "DONE" list

Goals and dreams:

If I just listen to my heart, trust my gut and follow the voices in my mind, my biggest goal is to expand on my mission to spread smiles and good energy; to heighten the message of prevention and protection, and to live a life of positive intent.

I believe this goal requires collaboration and partnerships, my family and other loved ones are already jumping on the bandwagon to support.

I believe this goal takes time. Time is a factor that we race against but we ca also use it to our advantage. In time, we will succeed. During time, we stay active. After time, we reflect and do better.

I believe this goal may not have a definite shape or form. This goal morphs a little depending on the subjects in the journey, for everyone is unique and can be best (positively) impacted in different ways.

I believe I will have baby goals along the way in achieving this beautiful dream of mine, and thats okay. I will strive to achieve them along the way.

Goals are great, and being accountable is even better. We should have accountability buddies and a space to always come back to for many reasons:

- to support
- to remember
- to realign
- to be brave
- to think
- to plan
- to do

Hello everyone ((:

I am Jolin Tinkerbelle. My mission in life is to spread smiles & good energy.

Understanding and embracing nutrition saved my life and enabled me to rid of reliance on medication and frequent visits to the doctors. We are really what we eat (and think and feel and do).

Hence, after completing my business degree in Singapore, I pursued formal and informal education and training in holistic health. I have been working in health and fitness establishments to do marketing, host talks/workshops, run events and engage in brand activation. And I love it.

I get encouraged when participants or clients (many turned friends) tell me I inspired them or tell me they love my positivity and passion to help people.

As this journey has its ups and downs like any other, I find that these encouragements keep me fired and driven. It is that one person in the room you could help who is enough as a motivation to keep sharing and doing.

I enjoy crafting and hosting workshops for:

(1) Conscious brands that are good for people

(2) Companies or Studios or Groups of people who wishes to learn more about Health or other topics

(3) Any topic of interest (Hands on learning is best) (Good energy and smiles is holistic) I did a Christmas gift wrapping workshop and everyone just embraced kindness and creativity ((:

And I feel that partnerships and synergy is really important. We can do so much more if we gather our tribe and radiate together ((:
