The Huabiao (Chinese Totem) is a decorative stone column usually built in traditional Chinese architecture, such as palaces and tombs. The dragon carved around the column symbolises authority and prosperity.

This monument is located at The Canyon (Gardens By The Bay), a garden featuring the largest rock sculptures in Singapore. Walk through these colossal sculptures within this 400-metre trail!

The Japanese used the Prisoners of War to build Syonan Chureito, which name suggests “the sacrifice made by the Japanese soldiers”. However, the memorial was later destroyed by the Japanese for fear that the Allied Forces would desecrate it.
