Celebrating 10 Years of Going Further, Together 🏆

For a decade, ActiveSG Athletics Club has been opening doors for young athletes across Singapore — giving them the chance to sprint down the track, soar over the high jump bar, and unleash their best throws on the field.

From personal bests to podium finishes, every stride, leap and launch has been a step toward something greater. Athletics teaches more than technique — it builds the focus to push through the final stretch, the resilience to come back after a tough race, and the belief that there's always more in the tank.

Here’s to 10 years of growth, grit and greater strides ahead. 🎉

Basketball teaches kids how to work as a team even when the pace picks up. Whether they are running a give and go, boxing out for a rebound or calling for a switch, they learn to communicate clearly and trust the people around them.

These game habits become life habits. Kids who read the court well often read social situations better too.

Sports do more than keep kids active. When children make movement part of their everyday routines, like packing gear, sticking with practice and playing regularly, they build healthy physical habits that support their overall growth and development.✨

These routines help kids learn responsibility, independence and how effort contributes to progress over time.

What routines or habits have you or your child formed through sports or structured play?💭

Water polo teaches kids to think and act with purpose in a dynamic environment. From choosing the right pass and timing a drive to reacting to defenders under the shot clock, they learn to make smart choices under pressure.

These experiences build focus, awareness, and confidence, skills that carry into everyday challenges beyond the pool.

Sports do more than keep kids active. When children react to plays, solve problems on the move or stay engaged with a task, they are strengthening attention and cognitive skills that support focus and learning.🧠

Active play also helps kids manage their mood and improves memory, all of which support how they take on school, friendships and the challenges ahead.

How have you seen active play sharpen you or your child's focus or problem solving?💭

Whether rain or shine, your child can learn to stay afloat no matter what comes their way. By keeping rhythm against resistance, canoeing shows them they are capable of taking on challenges, no matter the difficulty.

So when things feel choppy, they know how to stay calm, adjust and keep moving forward.

Hockey trains kids to think ahead and stay steady in fast situations. Tracking the ball and finding openings for runs or passes teaches them how to judge moments and act with intention.

The same skills help them navigate schoolwork, friendships and challenges that demand quick but thoughtful choices.

Kids build their strongest bones long before their teens, and active play is what makes that possible.⚡

When children run, jump, or land, their bodies respond by strengthening bones and muscles. These benefits don’t just show up in
childhood. They help support balance, mobility and healthy growth that lasts long into life.

What active habits have helped you or your child feel stronger and more coordinated?💭

Full speed ahead! Wheelchair rugby is all about reading the court and reacting in an
instant. That same intensity was on display at the recent ASEAN Para Games, where our homegrown team showed how the right training and mindset can turn challenges into strength.

Our programme provides that learning opportunity, helping participants build new skills while enjoying the game at their own pace. More than just a sport, it teaches when to push forward and when to pull back, finding the right balance in other aspects of life.
