The 2-Days International Indoor Hockey Challenge last weekend was filled with pulsating hockey action from 8 teams, all vying for the honor of being crowned the champions.

The Singapore Women's Team ranked third in the round robin stage after losing to Thailand Hockey 1-4 and Kuala Lumpur Hockey Association 1-2. They faced Johor Sports School in the bronze medal match and was guaranteed as the 2nd Runners-Up after defeating Johor Sports School 3-0.

The Singapore Men's Team ranked second in the round robin stage after winning Thailand Hockey 4-2, Johor Sports School 6-2 and were defeated by Malaysia Polytechnic 2-4. They faced Malaysia Polytechnic again in the gold medal match and went into shoot-out competition after the game ended at a 1-1 draw. The Singapore Team was denied from being crowned the champion as the shoot-out competition ended at 0-2, with the final score being at Malaysia Polytechnic 3-1 Singapore.

With that, Singapore Hockey Federation congratulates the teams on a fantastic tournament!

National Women's League 2 2018 Review

The National Women's League 2018 kicked off this past weekend with 5 exciting matches completed in the second tier.

Vijayanti Balestier Lions kicked off their inaugural season in the NWL with a big win over Tornados Hockey Club. They currently sit at the top of the table, level on points with the 4 other victorious sides from the first round of games, albeit with a better goal difference. However, it is still early days and there is all to play for in the league.
