1st SGML game Gentlemen divison

Missing our GK n missed opportunities saw a initial tight game swung to our opponent Lagenda when they extended their lead, always a uphill task when we had to concede n keep chasing the game though we managed to keep them quiet during some part of the game.

Areas for improvements

1) we were not closing down opponent whenever they have the ball, too far apart n seem there is a open window 🪟 for opponent to do what they like.

2) As a result, cos of open gaps, we are slower to react & allow them room to play their passing game.

3) When our forward press, rest of team need to press together, defence need to push up together. If we drop back to defend, likewise we need to drop together.

4) 1st half our wingers totally didn’t touch the ball. We need to come nearer and stay more compact in order to receive the ball.

5) whenever our player have the ball eg Shawn, our players need to shout or signal for the ball by going nearer to Shawn n not too far apart otherwise Shawn has no angle to pass.

Opponent today gave a demonstration how to play fluid, passing game cos we made them look good by our static positioning. Their players all can hold ball, distribute simple pass & crossed into our penalty danger zones.
