We often define our bodies by what they can’t do. Especially when we’re just starting out or bouncing back from a setback.

‘This body is not strong enough.’
‘This body is too out of shape.’
‘What if I fail?’

The thought of signing up for that race feels impossible, starting a new workout seems overwhelming, or simply getting back into a routine after a stubborn injury or illness feels like climbing Rinjani (for me that is). That feeling of ‘I suck at this anyway, why bother trying’ or ‘I’m not where I used to be’ can be a huge mental block.
