Dear Grandmasters, Masters, Coaches, Instructors & Taekwondo Family,

After many discussions and consultations with Virtual Taekwondo Subject Matter Experts as well as Changmookwan Taekwondo HQ , we are very excited to officially introduce a NEW EVENT CATEGORY to the:

🥋 2026 Changmookwan Taekwondo Singapore Online International Championship

🎮⚡ VIRTUAL TAEKWONDO (VTKD ) ⚡🎮

Taekwondo continues to evolve — and we believe that we must continue evolving together with it.

Virtual Taekwondo combines real Taekwondo movements, kicking techniques, speed and reaction with Virtual Reality (VR) and full-body motion tracking technology. The athlete physically moves, kicks, blocks and reacts, while their movements are translated into the virtual competition arena.

🎮 TAEKWONDO meets ACTIVE E-SPORTS
🌏 TODAY'S MARTIAL ART meets the NEXT GENERATION

The introduction of VTKD into our 2026 Championship is part of our effort to keep up with the current development of Taekwondo and make our championship more relevant and exciting for the younger generation of Taekwondo practitioners.

🔥 VTKD WILL BE INTRODUCED AS AN EXHIBITION EVENT THIS YEAR

✅ Competition at Dojang / Team Level
✅ Competitors will be matched with another athlete within the same country
✅ Matches may be between athletes from the same or different Dojangs / Teams
✅ Each match consists of 2 competitors
🥇 Winner receives GOLD Medal + Certificate
🥈 Other competitor receives SILVER Medal + Certificate
✅ Open from White Belt to Black Belt across various age categories

🎮 DON'T HAVE VTKD EQUIPMENT?

You may arrange to conduct your match at another Dojang / Team that has the equipment.

The recommended setup is the AXIS full-body motion tracking system with PICO 4 VR headset, but teams using other compatible VTKD equipment are also welcome to contact us to discuss participation.

CMK Singapore and CMK Indonesia Changmookwan Indonesia Teams are on the way to Incheon Airport. Can't wait to re-group with the rest of team members who have arrived the previous day and also looking forward to meet up with CMK Family Members from other countries soon!

What a fantastic evening bringing together the CMK Singapore family for our very first training and gathering in the year 2026 at CADRE Self Defense & Martial Arts Academy ! It was more than just a training session—it was an opportunity to learn, reconnect, and strengthen the bond within our Changmookwan family.

A heartfelt thank you to Sir Leon Koh and Sir Darran Lee for generously sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion for Poomsae. Your detailed guidance and valuable insights gave all of us a deeper appreciation and understanding of the art and technical excellence behind every movement.

As we continue to learn from one another, we also continue to grow together—both as martial artists and as one united Changmookwan family.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to many more training sessions, friendships, and memorable moments ahead!
