We are very grateful for being able to take part in the competition in the 2019 “One Belt One Road" Singapore International Wushu Culture Festival. Thank you Master Ge for her dedication in teaching us, and to Sino Wushu Training Centre and other organisers for the opportunity to be a part of this event. 据说，‘武’之音出于‘舞’，舞，用于向他人彰显身强力健、雄壮灵活，‘武’字，则是停止（止）战斗（戈）之意。武术，既解决安全问题，又训练应变能力，提升人的精神和身体素质。戈春艳老师的长穗双剑，亦武亦舞，演绎出了武之强劲，舞之魅力，出神入化，让人如醉如痴，真正是艺术的展示！It is said that the sound for wushu (武 wǔ) comes from 舞 (wǔ - dance), which was used to demonstrate one’s vigour and vitality, while the character for wushu (武 wǔ) is a combination of 止 (zhǐ - stop) and 戈 (gē - war), meaning to end fighting. Not only is wushu useful as a safety measure, it also trains us to be adaptable, and helps improve us both mentally and physically. Master Ge Chunyan’s dexterity in manoeuvring the Double Long Tassel Swords demonstrates how wushu is an art by itself, embodying dance in it, exhibiting both power and beauty.

New class - Bagua Judge’s Pen! The Judge’s Pen, being small and easy to carry around, was used as a hidden weapon. Bagua Judge’s Pen movements are based on Baguazhang, and so are natural and smooth like water, yet fast and swift like a dragon. Every Sun, 9:00-9:45pm, starting on May 5th.
