Most people think lunges are just… lunges.

Step forward, go down, come up. Done.

But something as small as which hand you hold the dumbbell in can completely change how the exercise feels—and what your body has to do.

When you hold the weight on the same side (ipsilateral), everything feels more stable. The load stays stacked over the working leg, balance is easier, and you can usually handle more weight.

Switch it to the opposite side (contralateral) and suddenly… things feel off.
Your body wants to rotate. Your core has to work harder to resist it. Your hip stabilisers have to step up.

That “wobbly” feeling most people try to avoid? That’s actually where a lot of the benefit comes from.

Neither is better. They just train different things.

The real mistake is doing the same version every time without knowing why.

Try both on your next session and pay attention to what changes 👀

Nothing personal but...

❌ I charge for late cancellations/reschedules & no shows.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Your time is valuable, and so is mine. Cancellations impact scheduling, other clients, and income. Respecting the policy means respecting the commitment you've made to yourself and your goals.

❌ I don't offer free trial sessions.
What I offer goes beyond a one-off workout. Clients receive individualised coaching, including nutrition guidance, habit and lifestyle strategies inside and outside the gym. If you're ready to invest in yourself, I'll match that commitment every step of the way.

❌ I charge an extra fee if you require me to travel to your location.
Travel involves additional time and logistics on my end. This fee ensures I can continue to deliver the same level of focus, energy, and professionalism—wherever you choose to train.

❌ I can't promise results if you don't put the work in.
I'll guide, support, and coach you, but your effort outside of our sessions matters just as much as what happens during them. Results come from consistency, honesty, and a shared commitment. You bring the effort, I'll bring the plan.

❌ I don’t follow fitness fads.
My approach is grounded in proven principles, not trends or quick fixes. What works is consistency, structure, and strategies tailored to you—not whatever is popular online. You can trust that everything we do has a purpose behind it.

❌ My rates are based on my value, not your budget.
My pricing reflects the experience, knowledge, and level of support I provide. This is an investment in your health and results. If you’re committed, I’ll make sure you receive the guidance and accountability to match.

If you're ready to commit and set out on your journey let's chat!+

🌟 Did you know that your grip strength is more than just a measure of how well you can hold onto things? It's actually a powerful indicator of your overall health!

🏋️‍♂️ Whether you're crushing weights at the gym or simply going about your daily activities, having a strong grip is essential. It's a sign of muscular strength, endurance, and functional fitness. So, let's dive deeper into why grip strength matters!

🦴 Grip strength is closely linked to bone density and overall bone health. Studies have shown that individuals with stronger grips tend to have higher bone mineral density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.

💪 A firm grip is also associated with a reduced risk of injury. When your hands and forearms are strong, you're better equipped to handle heavy loads and perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

🧠 Beyond physical benefits, grip strength is a reflection of your mental resilience as well. Research suggests that a stronger grip correlates with better cognitive function and a lower risk of age-related cognitive decline. So, exercise those hands and keep your mind sharp!

⚡️ Ready to improve your grip strength? Here are some exercises to get you started: barbell forearm rolls, towel grip farmer's walks, and weight plates finger grip. Remember to challenge yourself, but always prioritize safety and proper form. Your grip strength journey begins now! 💯💪

🤝✨ Let's start a conversation! Share your favorite grip strength exercises in the comments below. Together, we can inspire and motivate each other to reach new heights!
