3rd May marked International Forest Kindergarten Day. Across the world, we sing in unison, advocate, and celebrate the joy and impact of childhood spent in nature by providing a safe space where curious minds, busy hands, and muddy feet make memories through exploration and play. 🌿
Nature Explorers School wishes all forest schools, forest kindergartens, practitioners, and advocates a Happy International Forest Kindergarten Day. May we continue to champion childhoods which are deeply rooted in a love for nature and work together to raise future stewards of the Earth. 💚🌏

🌿✨ This holiday, give your child more than just another activity, and present them the gift of an experience in nature.
Join our 2-Day or 3-Day Holiday Camps where children explore some of Singapore’s beautiful green spaces, connect deeply with the natural world and learn to appreciate the wildlife around them.
Our forest school camps promote mindfulness in children and immerse them in the process of self-discovery. They build self-confidence when they are allowed to do things for themselves, and think for others to move from self-centeredness to kindness towards others. The children are not rushed to complete objectives nor participate in a “fastest-is-the-best” approach. Through child-led play and guided adventures, they acquire a few essential forest school skills, build teamwork, and grow connections with nature, and a sense of themselves.

The NES programme team visited Pulau Ubin for a recce and to plan an adventurous route for one of June Camps. Our visit brought us back in time to Singapore’s kampung life.
It was also a lovely morning of cycling around the island, meeting friendly residents and finding new trekking routes.
Did you know? Modern records date the founding of Singapore as a modern colonial trading port. However, archeological discoveries and historical written records have shown that settlements in Temasek has existed for almost 700 years. Everyday we lose parts of our green city to time and urbanization. So visits like these help centre our focus and reconnect us to our past, the lived histories of a generation who have come and gone before us.

Overnight Camp (7-12 years old). Join us and give your child an experience they will remember for life. 🌙🏕️
Staying overnight for a camp that creates a lasting memorable experience. The children learn to overcome difficult situations and find ways to survive and thrive. They learn how to live with others and to accommodate others, which they will only really experience when they live with one another. 🏕️
A really nice mindful atmosphere awaits them, as they prepare their own meals throughout the day. Many of children really enjoy preparing their own meals, and it is certainly one of the highlights of the Overnight Camp. We also look forward to a nice campfire night experience where we get together for a sing-along session.
