We are pleased to share that our Knotted Coat Rack has received Made in Slovenia Mark of Excellence, awarded by the Centre for Creativity

The Made in Slovenia Mark of Excellence is awarded to selected products by Slovenian creators that are design-driven, conceptually coherent, and functionally innovative. The selected products respond to questions rooted in the local context while remaining globally relevant, and they promote sustainable and local production.

Znak odličnosti Made in Slovenia je podeljen izbranim izdelkom slovenskih ustvarjalk in ustvarjalcev, ki so oblikovalsko kakovostni, konceptualno celoviti in funkcionalno inovativni. Izdelki odgovarjajo na vprašanja, ki izhajajo iz lokalnega prostora, a so hkrati globalno relevantni ter spodbujajo trajnostno in lokalno proizvodnjo.

The crocheted clasp turns function into sculpture — a quiet twist holding the piece together.

Work in progress - pink modular spatial structure for the Baušpil exhibition

The exhibition Baušpil is inspired by the legacy of Bauhaus where architecture and textiles were instrumental in blending function, imagination, and play.

Every step of the process – from the first cuts in the carpentry workshop to the final assembly of the modular structures and soft forms - was a conversation between materials, color and movement.

As one of the open call winners, the Knotted Coat Rack is exhibited alongside works by emerging designers and artists exploring the intersection of design, textiles, and contemporary art.

Gorizia Design Week, organized by MuDeFri Museum of Design of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is one of the first major exhibitions for Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025. The event focuses on Fiber Art & Textile Design, highlighting them as symbols of connection and craftsmanship.

“Razstava Baušpil temelji na magistrskem delu Tasje Videmšek, navdihnjenem z zgodovinsko, tekstilno in arhitekturno dediščino Bauhausa…”

“Razstava ne postavlja na ogled le tekstilnih izdelkov, temveč odpira pomembno temo povezovanja in izgradnje skupnega prostora, saj se na njej povežeta tekstilna in arhitekturna misel oblikovalke Tasje Videmšek in arhitektke Urške Sadar…”

“Preprosta geometrična konstrukcija ustvarja abstraktno in hkrati funkcionalno okolje, v katerem se razvija živahen dialog med tekstilom in modularno zgrajenim arhitekturnim prostorom. Strukture so pri tem več kot le okvirji – so dinamični elementi, ki oblikujejo dom različnih igrivih likov. Postavitev odseva Bauhausovo naklonjenost osnovnim barvam in geometrijskim oblikam ter predstavlja sodobno interpretacijo združevanja funkcionalnosti, estetike in inovacije, ključnih značilnosti gibanja Bauhaus. Kontrasti, ki se oblikujejo v materialih, oblikah in asimetriji polno-praznega prostora, vabijo tako mlajše kot starejše k aktivnemu raziskovanju okolja razstave ter odkrivanju odnosov med funkcijo, domišljijo in igro.”

The Knotted Coat Rack - a fusion of innovation and artistry. Featuring intricately designed 3D-printed knots paired with fabric ropes, this ceiling-mounted coat rack adds a playful and contemporary touch to any space.

The ZGDW AWARD is an international design award presented by an expert jury across six categories.
