🚨 MY THOUGHTS ON GABRIEL JESUS AND THE ONE AREA I THINK HE STILL NEEDS TO IMPROVE.

Honestly, based on everything I expected from Gabriel Jesus, I think he is currently giving Barcelona almost everything I wanted from our striker.

For just €10 million, considering the performances he's putting up, I genuinely think we got a great signing.

His movement, link up play, ability to drop deeper and connect with the attackers, and the way he keeps moving the opposition's defence are all things I wanted to see.

But there is one area where I think he can still improve: his pressing.

Yes, he's pressing. But I want a little more intensity from him.

He probably won't press at the same level as Raphinha, and I don't expect him to. But if Jesus can increase the intensity of his pressing, that gives Flick another reliable option when Raphinha needs to be rested.

That's important because if Raphinha isn't playing as the number nine and Jesus is rotated into that position, the intensity of our attack shouldn't completely drop.

So for me, that's the one thing I really want Gabriel Jesus to improve.

Apart from that, honestly, he has been a fantastic signing.

Look at these 2 pictures. I bet if you didn’t watch the game, you’d never guess who actually scored.

Lamine celebrating, Adeyemi celebrating, Gavi celebrating. All the players ran over together, celebrating with each other, smiling like they had all scored the goal themselves.

But the best part was Adeyemi and Lamine. Adeyemi had seen Lamine miss several chances and knew he was frustrated. So, in the final moments of the game, he picked up the ball deep, sprinted all the way into the box and had a chance to score himself. Instead, he chose to pass it to Lamine so he could get his goal.
