Former MVFC Chairman Renner Boosts Makeni Veterans with Sports Equipment Donation
Former Makeni Veterans Football Club (MVFC) Chairman and lecturer at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), Mr. Renner, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots football development by donating from a far, sports equipment to his former club during their routine training session.
On Mr. Renner's behalf, the current Chairman of the Makeni Veterans Football Club, Mr. Charles Emmanuel Nwanko, presented five standard footballs and three ball pumps to Makeni’s oldest veterans football team.
The donated items were officially received by the club’s Vice Chairperson, Ishmail “Zidane” Kamara, Head Coach Abdulrahman “Agina” Kamara, Assistant Coach Mohamed K-Plus Conteh, and other members of the Makeni Veterans Football Club.
Members of MVFC that witnessed the donation described the gesture as timely and symbolic of Mr. Renner’s continued support and dedication to the growth and unity of veterans football in Makeni.

Makeni Veterans Football Club - MVFC's 2025 End of Year Internal Gala kicked off with a bang as Team Ballack and Team Issa secured opening 2-0 and 4-0 victories over Team Kargbo and Team Jim (the defending champions).
The gala expected to run for six weeks will continue next Sunday, October 18, 2025.

Makeni Veterans Football Club - MVFC Kickoff Annual Membership Tournament!
With the goal of promoting harmony and keeping our membership fit, our 2024 end of year gala commenced on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the Wusum Stadium.
Before the official match action, the Chairman of MVFC, Charles Nwanko admonished players of the four participating teams; team Ballack, Issa, Jim and the defending champions team Kargbo to compete brilliantly and brotherly to foster team unity and continue to let onlookers be entertained.
The tournament opening matches gave birth to a 3-3 draw between team Kargbo and Team Jim, while Team Ballack suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat to Team Issa.
After the successful end of match day one actions, team Issa now leads the table with three points and three goals scored, with two goals advantage.
While the defending champions team Kargbo and team Jim respectively sits second and third place with a point each, three goals scored, and no goal advantage.
On the other hand, Team Ballack trails in third place with no points, a goal scored and three goals conceded.
Organized on its usual round robin format, the MVFC 2024 internal gala continues next week with opposing sides of the opening fixtures facing the others in match day two on Sunday, November 10 as the chase for this year’s title heightens.
The overall best two teams will advance to the grand finals, while the bottom two finishers will battle for bronze in the coming weeks.

This morning we hosted Makeni Veterans Football Club - MVFC came from behind to beat our good friends Matter Jung Veterans Football Club from the South-eastern province 2-1 at a friendly match held at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni.
Osman Haza Kamara made the work light with an assist and a goal.
Yesterday, MJVFC beat Makeni Ex-Players 3-1 on the same turf in their first friendly.
On behalf of our Chairman Chardon Nwankwo, his Executive members and every member of , we wish our brothers a safe travel back home after their entertaining outing in the north-eastern region.
