ππππππ, πππβ ππ πππππππππ ππππ: the President of the Yambio Football Association, Joseph Ndepi, says a lack of financial resources remains one of the major challenges affecting football activities and development in Western Equatoria State.
Ndepi says football requires adequate funding to develop infrastructure, provide playing kits and equipment, organise competitions and support other activities needed for the growth of the sport.
He says the challenges facing football vary from one place to another, but financial support remains a major concern for football activities under the Yambio Football Association.
βOne of the biggest challenges that we encounter as a football association is funding and financial resources. There is no way that football can grow without money.
Football needs money. Money can bring you everything, from infrastructure to attire and everything else. So, not having financial support is one of the biggest challenges affecting football activities under the Yambio Football Association,β Ndepi said.
Ndepi says increased financial support from the government, private businesses, football stakeholders and development partners could help address some of the challenges facing the sport.
He says such support is needed to improve football infrastructure, provide essential equipment and create better conditions for clubs and players to participate in competitions.
Ndepi is calling on relevant authorities, businesses and other potential partners to work with football associations and clubs to strengthen the sport and provide greater opportunities for players across Western Equatoria State.
