MBORIMAN REDEEMS PLEDGE TO AL-WEHIDA FC

Mboriman Edward Mbory has today fulfilled his earlier commitment to Al Wehida FC by donating essential sports gear ahead of their crucial semi-final match.

The support included playing uniforms, football boots, and other important sporting items to help the team prepare adequately for their match today against Gurei City FC.

During the visit, Mboriman also took time to encourage the players, wishing them strength and success as they head into the decisive semi-final encounter. He reaffirmed his belief in the team and urged them to remain focused and determined as they represent Western Equatoria on the pitch.

Super Eagles FC Head Coach, Coach Kwan Akol Ajawin, has resigned from his position, citing health challenges and internal team concerns.

In a letter dated February 20, 2026, Coach Ajawin said he is battling serious eye problems that have affected his ability to continue leading the team.

He also mentioned a lack of commitment and loyalty from most players as a contributing factor.

He thanked the board members, players, and fans for their patience and support during his four-year tenure, despite the team not winning a trophy.

Coach Kwan previously guided Super Eagles FC to promotion from the Second Division to the First Division and led the club to win the South Sudan Cup and the First Division League title.

He asked for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended and wished the team success in upcoming fixtures, adding that he would remain available if his health improves.

The Acting Governor of Western Equatoria State, H.E. Justin Joseph Marona, on Thursday, met Al Wehida Football Club at the State Secretariat ahead of their departure to Juba for the South Sudan Cup.

He urged the players to remain disciplined, united, and confident as they represent Western Equatoria State in the national competition.

“Do not fear other clubs. Be strong as a team and play with love and respect for the rules,” he said.

The acting governor assured the team of full government support and expressed hope that they would return home with the trophy.
