Wildfire Incident on Pagak Road to Maiwut County
On 27 January 2026, a tragic wildfire incident occurred on the Pagak Road to Maiwut County, claiming the lives of at least six people, including two children. This heartbreaking event has deeply affected our community.
We extend our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in this painful tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
The County Administration has launched an investigation to determine how the wildfire occurred.
