It is with a heavy hearts that we inform the families and friends of Abyei that yesterday, the enemy from the North raided the Amiet market in Abyei, a mayhem that led to the loss of lives and property for the traders.
Amiet is a small international market comprising various communities of South Sudan and neighbouring countries.

We pour our hearts out for our players participating in this ongoing BCT tournament who lost immediate family members whose lives were cut short in the crossfire in yesterday's incident in Amiet.
We would also like to express our deepest condolences to our president, Lavala Vela, who lost her cousin yesterday in Amiet while trying to free his people alongside his comrades.
