Heartbroken former arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue reveals he didn’t know his own son was signing a professional contract - with Chelsea! ✍️

🗣️ “I feel very sad because when he signed for Chelsea, I wasn’t there. My mum didn’t even call me, so I didn’t know. Before I was talking with him. But now, since four/five years, I didn’t have any contact with him. It pains me a lot, because he’s my son.

“When I was with him, I taught him also how to play football. I have video of me and him when we were playing. Now I don’t have any recent pictures. The pictures that I have are old ones, where they are kids. Even when I ask for some new pictures from the mum, she refused to give it to me.

“To be honest, I’m very happy for him. I didn’t even think that he will be there, but now I’m very very happy for him. But inside, in my body, I’m crying because I want to be closer to my son to help him.”

Lira City’s education department has banned holiday lessons and ordered an adjustment of nursery school hours, citing concerns over learners’ mental health. The Lira City Education Officer, Ms Jane Obeny, announced the directive on Tuesday following a stakeholders’ meeting held at Lira Primary School ahead of the close of the first term. Under the new guidelines, nursery classes will now begin at 8am, with closing time moved to 12pm. Officials said the decision was informed by growing concerns about the pressure placed on young learners through excessive academic schedules.

I still want to ask what they are are teaching the nursery kids up to 5 PM

🚨💣🎙️| Kylian Mbappe on the Legacy of Arsene Wenger and Thiery Henry in France:

🗣️ Henry: “Growing up in France, Arsenal was the club. I’m not even exaggerating. Everyone wanted to play for Arsenal. It was the dream. The way the team played, the young talents coming through, the style, the identity… it was something special.

And a big reason for that was Arsène Wenger. For us, he wasn’t just a manager, he was Le Professeur. He gave so many young players a voice, a chance, the confidence to express themselves. Especially for French players, he made us believe we could go to England and dominate.

Look at Thierry Henry. What Wenger did for him, the trust he gave him, the way he built him into one of the greatest players in history… that inspired all of us. You saw Henry and you thought, ‘I want to be like that, I want to play for that club.’

“En France, Arsenal c’était le rêve pour tous les jeunes joueurs, vraiment.” (In France, Arsenal was the dream for all young players, truly.)

I had so many Arsenal kits growing up, it was crazy. Me and my friends, we all wanted to wear that shirt one day. Even my younger brother, his favourite club is Arsenal. That tells you everything about the influence the club had on us.

That love I had for Arsenal never left me. It’s still there. Of course, football takes you in different directions, but deep down, that feeling stays with you.

You never know in football, anything can happen. I can definitely see myself playing for Arsenal one day. It’s a great club, a massive club in England with history, culture, and a way of playing that every attacking player loves. For me, it would be a dream.”
