JUBA — The curtain fell on an exhilarating second season of the South Sudan Premier League on Sunday, May 17, culminating in a grand season-closing ceremony and awards presentation that celebrated the nation's finest footballing talent.
After months of fierce competition, the league’s top performers were officially honored by the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), with Jamus FC and El-Merriekh Bentiu dominating the prestigious individual accolades.
Jamus FC Dominates the Attack
Jamus FC proved to be the league's offensive powerhouse this season, walking away with the two biggest individual player awards:
• Player of the Season: Sampi Ousimane was crowned the league's ultimate MVP after a spectacular campaign that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
• Top Scorer: George Rodriguez took home the Golden Boot, netting an incredible 23 goals over the course of the season to cement his reputation as the league's most lethal finisher.
El-Merriekh Bentiu Rules the Defense
