Hon Africano Mande donates 4,000,000 SSP to support St Mary FC and Nasiry United FC.

Yambio - Thursday 11th January 2024. The Commissioner General of the South Sudan National Revenue Authority who is also the patron of the Africano Mande Foundation Hon Africano Mande Gedima has donated an amount of 4,000,000 SSP to help St Mary FC of Yambio and Nasiry United FC of Maridi as the two teams travel to represent Western Equatoria State in the National South Sudan Cup in Juba.

According to Mr Joseph Ndepi the president of the Yambio Local Football Association whose office received the cash, 2,000,000 SSP will go to Nasiry United FC and 2,000,000 SSP will be given to St Mary FC Yambio. The two football clubs are expected to travel to Juba in the coming days.

During last year's edition of the Yambio Inter Area Tournament, Hon Africano Mande Gedima donated 2,000,000 SSP which was shared among the top 3 residential areas namely Akorogbodi, Napere and Ikpiro.

Yambio Inter Area Tournament 2023 to start on 10th June 2023.

The Organizing Committee for Yambio Inter Area Tournament 2023 has opened registration for participating areas for the 4th edition of one of the best football tournaments in Yambio.

In a letter seen by Yambio Sports Hub, the organizing committee has fixed 50,000 SSP as the fees for registration to enable residential areas take part in the competition.

Speaking to the media this evening, Mr Joseph Archangelo Apai the Chairperson of the organizing committee said the tournament will kickoff on the 10th of June 2023 and he called on all the residential areas in Yambio to start coming for registration from 28th of May - 6th June 2023.

It's anticipated that more than 30 residential areas will be registering for the tournament and Naduru Residential Area is the current defending Champions of the competition. The Inter Area Tournament has been a platform for young people to show case their talents as they build social cohesion among themselves. This year's edition is sponsored by Good Friends Technology Company under the theme "Football for Love, Social Cohesion and Peace".

Nile City FC beats Hai Kuba All Stars as they prepare for National League.

Two goals from Jafar Ndaru, a goal each from Emmanuel Elisa and Bidal were enough to secure all the 3 points for the Yambio Local League Champions Nile City FC has they won 4-3 against the Hai Kuba All Stars this afternoon at Yambio Freedom Square.

The Hai Kuba All Stars comprised of senior players like Jimmy Michael of Merrick FC Juba , Bafuka Ronaldo of Simba FC Juba, Max Mabu of Citizen FC Juba, Ngona , Emmālēx, Matuidi,14 K, Zaizai all from Yambio Star FC among others.

This is the first preparatory game Nile City has played as they get ready for traveling to Juba to represent Yambio LFA in the National League.

3rd Division side Freedom Boys eliminates 1st Division club Al Taharir FC from this year's edition of the Yambio LFA South Sudan Cup.

This is the second time Al Taharir FC is being eliminated by a 3rd division club. Last season, they were knocked out by Al Zamalek FC.

Yambio Local Football Association has signed a sponsorship deal with Kush Bank Yambio Branch for the 2022/23 South Sudan Cup

This is the first of it's kind where an Institution is stepping up to sponsor a tournament in Yambio. The deal was reached after several attempts by Mr Joseph Ndepi the newly elected President of YLFA to get on board stakeholders to support the football in the State.

Details and terms of the deal will be shared in a joint communication from the leadership of YLFA and the branch Manager of Kush Bank on Thursday.
