บทสรุปอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ 2025

ผ่านพ้นไปแล้วด้วยความประทับใจและยิ่งใหญ่ สำหรับการแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ซึ่งประเทศไทย จังหวัดนครราชสีมา เป็นเจ้าภาพ และได้รับการประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการให้เป็นเจ้าเหรียญทอง โดยครองอันดับ 1 ในตารางเหรียญรางวัลรวมด้วย 175 เหรียญทอง 155 เหรียญเงิน และ 156 เหรียญทองแดง ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นเจ้าเหรียญทองครั้งแรกของประเทศไทยนับตั้งแต่ปี 2015 และยังเป็นการเป็นเจ้าเหรียญทองอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 7 ของประเทศไทย เป็นการยุติการครองแชมป์ 3 สมัยติดต่อกันของอินโดนีเซียลงได้สำเร็จ โดยไฮไลต์ของทัพนักกีฬาไทยคือ กีฬาเทเบิลเทนนิส “รุ่งโรจน์ ไทยนิยม” ทำสถิติคว้าเหรียญทองชายเดี่ยวอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ 11 สมัยติดต่อกัน จากการแข่งขันทั้งหมด 13 ครั้ง ส่วนกีฬาฟันดาบ “สายสุนีย์ จ๊ะนะ” คว้าไป 3 เหรียญทอง ในฟันดาบหญิง คลาส B ได้แก่ ประเภทดาบฟอยล์ บุคคลหญิง, ดาบเซเบอร์ บุคคลหญิง และทีมเอเป้มิกซ์

อินโดนีเซียคว้าอันดับ 2 ด้วยเหรียญทอง 135 เหรียญ เหรียญเงิน 143 เหรียญ และเหรียญทองแดง 114 เหรียญ ซึ่งไฮไลต์ของทีมอินโดนีเซียคือ กรีฑาสำหรับผู้พิการกลายเป็นกีฬาที่อินโดนีเซียประสบความสำเร็จมากที่สุด โดยคว้าเหรียญทองไป 44 เหรียญ ส่วนกีฬาว่ายน้ำสำหรับผู้พิการก็ทำได้ดี คว้าเหรียญทองไป 29 เหรียญ และกำเนิดดาวรุ่งวัย 15 ปีอย่าง สิติ ไอซียะห์ ที่แม้จะเป็นอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งแรก แต่ก็ได้ถึง 2 เหรียญทอง 3 เหรียญทองแดง

ซึ่งถ้านับแล้ว ประเทศไทยและอินโดนีเซีย คว้าเหรียญทองรวมกันทั้งสิ้น 310 เหรียญทอง จาก 496 เหรียญทองที่มีให้แย่งชิงกัน ตอกย้ำการเป็นชาติมหาอำนาจของวงการพาราเกมส์ในอาเซียนเช่นเดิม และที่สำคัญ ทุกชาติสามารถคว้าเหรียญทองได้ทั้งหมด

มาเลเซีย เจ้าภาพอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งถัดไป ทำผลงานได้เกินความคาดหมาย คว้าไปถึง 201 เหรียญ จาก 64 เหรียญทอง 64 เหรียญเงิน และ 73 เหรียญทองแดง ไฮไลต์สำคัญ ได้แก่ เหรียญทองของ สิติ ไซดาห์ มอคตาร์ ในการแข่งขันขว้างลูกเหล็กหญิง ซึ่งเป็นชัยชนะที่นับเป็นเหรียญทองที่ 100 ของมาเลเซียในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้อีกด้วย

ส่วนฟิลิปปินส์ก็ถือว่าทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม โดยเฉพาะในการแข่งขันหมากรุกสากลประเภทแบลตซ์ (Blitz Chess) ซึ่งฟิลิปปินส์ทำผลงานได้ดีที่สุดครั้งหนึ่งในประวัติศาสตร์การแข่งขันหมากรุกคนพิการในกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ 2025 โดยคว้ามาได้ 12 เหรียญทอง 10 เหรียญเงิน และ 9 เหรียญทองแดง

ส่วนเวียดนาม คว้าไป 38 เหรียญทอง, เมียนมา 20 เหรียญทอง, สิงคโปร์ 13 เหรียญทอง, ติมอร์-เลสเต 3 เหรียญทอง, ลาว 2 เหรียญทอง และบรูไน 1 เหรียญทอง

ซึ่งใน 19 ชนิดกีฬา ตลอด 7 วันของการแข่งขัน มีการทำลายสถิติระดับภูมิภาคและสถิติส่วนบุคคลหลายรายการ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในกรีฑาและว่ายน้ำคนพิการ และเช่นเคย นักกีฬาเยาวชนหลายคนได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพที่น่าจับตามองในกีฬาพาราลิมปิกในอนาคต

Summary of the 2025 ASEAN Para Games

The 13th ASEAN Para Games, held in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand, concluded with many memorable achievements. Thailand secured first place in the medal tally with 175 gold, 155 silver, and 156 bronze medals, earning its first gold medal championship since 2015 and seventh overall. This victory ended Indonesia's three-edition championship streak. Notable performances included table tennis player Rungroj Thainiyom, who won the men's singles gold medal for the 11th consecutive time out of 13 competitions, and fencer Saysunee Jana, who claimed 3 gold medals in Class B fencing events (Women's Individual Foil, Women's Individual Sabre, and Mixed Team Epee).

Indonesia finished second with 135 gold, 143 silver, and 114 bronze medals. Para athletics was their strongest sport, earning 44 gold medals, while para swimming contributed 29 golds. Fifteen-year-old Siti Aisyah, competing in her first ASEAN Para Games, won 2 gold and 3 bronze medals.

Combined, Thailand and Indonesia captured 310 of the 496 gold medals, reaffirming their status as powerhouses in the ASEAN para sports community. Importantly, all nations won gold medals.

Malaysia, the next ASEAN Para Games host, exceeded expectations by winning a total of 201 medals, comprising 64 gold, 64 silver, and 73 bronze medals. A significant highlight was Siti Zaidah Mokhtar's gold medal in the women's shot put, marking Malaysia's 100th gold medal in this competition.

The Philippines delivered strong results, especially in blitz chess, achieving one of their best para chess performances with 12 gold, 10 silver, and 9 bronze medals in the 2025 ASEAN Para Games.

Vietnam won 38 gold medals, Myanmar 20, Singapore 13, Timor-Leste 3, Laos 2, and Brunei 1.

Over seven days and 19 sports, many regional and personal records were set, especially in para athletics and swimming. Many young athletes also showed strong potential for future Paralympic competitions.

The event also introduced innovations, including official live streaming on APSF’s YouTube channel, enabling real-time viewing for families, fans, and media. Modernized competition management, including digital timing and ranking systems, ensured accuracy across all sports.

Beyond the medals, the ASEAN Para Games highlighted the determination of the athletes, who competed at their highest level and inspired national pride through their achievements.

Uniting ASEAN Power! The 13th ASEAN Para Games Ends Beautifully: Standard–Dignity–Equality

The 13th ASEAN Para Games concluded successfully, reflecting systematic operation under the regulations and standards of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF). Maj. Gen. Osoth Bhavilai, President of APSF, and Maj. Gen. Dr. Wandee Tosuwan, Secretary-General of APSF, served as the core drivers in directing the competition.

This success also stemmed from the cooperation of the Board of Directors, qualified experts, and specialists in various fields who supervised, monitored, and provided close guidance in every dimension of the competition, acting as mentors to ensure operations met international standards.

Furthermore, it received strong support from the Thailand Organizing Committee, the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand, all para-sports associations, as well as the unity of the people of Nakhon Ratchasima and Thai people nationwide.

The 13th ASEAN Para Games marks another important historical chapter for Thailand in hosting the regional para-sports competition in 2026, serving as a true testament to Thailand's potential on the ASEAN sports stage.

52 ปีที่ยังไม่หยุดฝัน : แวว สายสุนีย์ กับหัวใจที่ไม่เคยยอมแพ้

กว่า 30 ปีก่อน ชีวิตของสาวโรงงานวัย 17 ปีจากจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ต้องหยุดลงกะทันหันจากอุบัติเหตุรถชน

ชื่อของเธอคือ "แวว สายสุนีย์ จ๊ะนะ" ที่สูญเสียความสามารถในการเดิน และในเสี้ยววินาทีนั้น ความฝันทุกอย่างก็พังทลายลงพร้อมกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการใช้ชีวิตอย่างคนปกติ หรือความใฝ่ฝันที่จะเป็นครูในอนาคต

จากเด็กสาวที่เต็มไปด้วยความหวัง กลับต้องเผชิญกับโลกที่มืดมน จนครั้งหนึ่งเธอเคยคิดจบชีวิตตัวเอง เพราะไม่อาจยอมรับโชคชะตาที่เปลี่ยนไป แต่พลังจากครอบครัว คือแสงสว่างเดียวที่ดึงเธอกลับมา

แวว ตัดสินใจเข้าไปยัง ศูนย์ฟื้นฟูอาชีพคนพิการหยาดฝน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เพื่อฝึกใช้ชีวิตใหม่ในแบบที่แตกต่างจากเดิม ที่นั่นเอง เธอได้ค้นพบโลกอีกใบ นั่นก็คือโลกของ "กีฬาคนพิการ"

จุดเริ่มต้นของเธอ คือ วีลแชร์บาสเกตบอล ที่ฝึกฝนอยู่ราว 1 ปี จนก้าวไปติดทีมชาติไทยได้สำเร็จ ก่อนที่โชคชะตาจะพาเธอมาเจอกับกีฬาที่เปลี่ยนชีวิตอย่างแท้จริง นั่นก็คือ "วีลแชร์ฟันดาบ"

จากคำแนะนำของโค้ชชาวฮ่องกงที่มองเห็นศักยภาพในสรีระของเธอ ช่วงแขนและลำตัวยาว กลายเป็นอาวุธสำคัญในกีฬาชนิดนี้

แววเริ่มต้นใหม่อีกครั้ง ด้วยวินัยและความมุ่งมั่นอย่างที่สุด เธอฝึกฟันดาบเฉลี่ยวันละ กว่า 1,000 ครั้ง หยาดเหงื่อทุกหยด หล่อหลอมให้เธอพัฒนาขึ้นอย่างก้าวกระโดด

52 Years of an Unfinished Dream: "Waew" Saysunee and an Unyielding Spirit

More than 30 years ago, the life of a 17-year-old factory worker from Chiang Mai came to an abrupt halt after a traffic accident.

Her name is Saysunee Jana.

In a split second, she lost the use of her legs, and with it, every dream she once held. Her hopes of living a normal life, becoming a teacher, and building her future disappeared instantly.

She faced an uncertain future and at times questioned whether she could continue after such a sudden change. The strength and unconditional support of her family helped her persevere during this difficult period.

Saysunee enrolled at Yadfon Vocational Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities in Chiang Mai to rebuild her life. There, she discovered para sports.

Her journey in para sports began with wheelchair basketball. After a year of training, she earned a spot on the Thai national team. Soon after joining the national team, she discovered wheelchair fencing, the sport that would change her life.

A Hong Kong coach noticed her long arms and strong upper body and encouraged her to try wheelchair fencing. These attributes soon became her greatest strengths.

She began training with discipline, practicing over 1,000 thrusts daily and making rapid progress.

Her dedication led to her selection for the Thai national team, and by 1999, she made her debut at the Asian Para Games, hosted by Thailand. That was the moment the world officially learned the name Saysunee Jana.

She won the gold medal and a 200,000-baht prize. This award was more than a reward for victory; it provided essential funds to clear family debts and improve their quality of life.

From that day, her progress continued without interruption. Saysunee competed internationally. She won the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in New Zealand in Class A, qualifying for the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece.

This achievement established her as a leading figure in the sport. She won Paralympic gold, becoming the first Thai woman to do so. From that point, Waew Saysunee became a symbol of perseverance.

For more than three decades, she has represented Thailand internationally, continuously competing at the highest level.

Saysunee is not only a respected athlete; she also represents hope for many people with disabilities across the country.

Her formula for success is simple yet profound: "Love what you do, and do what you love—with discipline, hard work, and a heart that never gives up."

Her family remains her greatest source of strength behind every medal. Her husband, daughter "Ruthai," and relatives have provided unwavering support throughout her career.

At 52, Saysunee remains committed to victory. She continues to train intensively and is prepared to compete as long as possible. Most recently, she won 3 gold medals at the ASEAN Para Games in Thailand.

For her, sport is not just about competition. It is life itself. The name Saysunee Jana will continue to serve as a legend and a lasting inspiration for future generations of Thai people.

โบกมือลา "อาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13" จัด "ประถมบันเทิงศิลป์" พิธีปิด ส่งไม้ต่อ "มาเลเซีย"

นายอรรถกร ศิริลัทธยากร รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เป็นประธานในพิธีปิดการแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 โดยมี ดร.ก้องศักด ยอดมณี ผู้ว่าการการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย (กกท.), คณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันฯ, ผู้บริหารจากสหพันธ์กีฬาคนพิการแห่งอาเซียน, คณะนักกีฬา, เจ้าหน้าที่, สื่อมวลชน และประชาชน เข้าร่วมในพิธี ณ สนามกีฬาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษาฯ จังหวัดนครราชสีมา เมื่อวันที่ 26 มกราคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา

สำหรับพิธีปิดการแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 เริ่มขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อเวลา 18.00 น. ด้วยพิธีถวายความอาลัยในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เพื่อแสดงความสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอย่างหาที่สุดมิได้ จากนั้น เป็นพิธีอัญเชิญธงชาติไทยขึ้นสู่ยอดเสา ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศแห่งความภาคภูมิใจ พร้อมขบวนธงชาติและขบวนทัพนักกีฬาจาก 10 ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ก่อนที่นายอรรถกร ศิริลัทธยากร รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันฯ จะกล่าวปิดการแข่งขันอย่างเป็นทางการ

จากนั้น เป็นการฉายวีดิทัศน์ (VTR) สรุปภาพความประทับใจตลอดช่วงการแข่งขัน ก่อนเข้าสู่พิธีดับไฟคบเพลิง อันเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งการปิดฉากการแข่งขันอย่างสมบูรณ์ ต่อด้วยพิธีเชิญธงสหพันธ์กีฬาคนพิการแห่งอาเซียน และธงการแข่งขันฯ ลงจากยอดเสา พร้อมทั้งพิธีส่งต่อเจ้าภาพครั้งต่อไป และพิธีเชิญธงชาติมาเลเซียขึ้นสู่ยอดเสา และการแสดงจากประเทศมาเลเซีย ในชุด "SUARA JIWA : VOICE OF THE SOUL" ซึ่งสะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ พลังสร้างสรรค์ และความพร้อมของเจ้าภาพในครั้งต่อไปได้อย่างน่าประทับใจ

ปิดท้ายด้วยการแสดงชุด "อีสานม่วน" โดยคณะหมอลำ "ประถมบันเทิงศิลป์" ที่ถ่ายทอดความภาคภูมิใจ พลังใจ และความสามัคคีที่เกิดขึ้นจากการแข่งขัน ผ่านศิลปะการแสดงที่สะท้อนจิตวิญญาณของนักกีฬา พร้อมส่งต่อแรงบันดาลใจสู่ก้าวต่อไปของทุกหัวใจ ถือเป็นการปิดฉากการแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ของประเทศไทย ได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ สง่างาม และน่าประทับใจ

ทั้งนี้ การแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ซึ่งประเทศไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขัน ระหว่างวันที่ 20–26 มกราคม 2569 ที่ จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ทัพนักกีฬาพาราไทยสามารถทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม โดยคว้าอันดับเจ้าเหรียญทองของการแข่งขัน ด้วยผลงาน 175 เหรียญทอง 155 เหรียญเงิน และ 158 เหรียญทองแดง รวม 488 เหรียญ นับเป็นความภาคภูมิใจของแฟนกีฬาชาวไทย และเป็นอีกหนึ่งความสำเร็จที่สะท้อนศักยภาพของนักกีฬาพาราไทยในเวทีระดับภูมิภาคอาเซียน

Farewell to the 13th ASEAN Para Games: "Prathom Banthoeng Sin" Performance Highlights Closing Ceremony, Torch Passed to "Malaysia"

Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the closing ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Para Games. The event was attended by Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), the Organizing Committee, executives from the ASEAN Para Sports Federation, athletes, officials, media, and the public at His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on January 26, 2026.

The closing ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Para Games officially began at 18:00 with a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, to express deepest gratitude for her boundless benevolence. This was followed by the raising of the Thai national flag amidst an atmosphere of pride, accompanied by the parade of national flags and athletes from 10 ASEAN member countries. Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, in his capacity as Chairman of the Organizing Committee, then delivered the official closing speech.

"On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, it is a great honor for Thailand to host the 13th ASEAN Para Games, a significant stage reflecting the power, determination, and immense potential of all para-athletes from ASEAN member countries. This ASEAN Para Games is not merely a regional sports competition, but a symbol of cooperation, friendship, and mutual support within the ASEAN community. It also reflects the power of sports in connecting people, especially in promoting equality and living together amidst diversity. On behalf of the Thai government, I would like to congratulate the athletes from all nations who achieved victory in this competition. I also commend the organizing committee and all related sectors, especially Nakhon Ratchasima Province and its people, who have demonstrated excellent hospitality. Their cooperation and unity in organizing this event created a wonderful shared experience, resulting in a success evident to all member nations. I sincerely thank everyone involved."

Following the speech, a video presentation (VTR) summarizing the impressive moments throughout the competition was shown, leading into the ceremony of extinguishing the flame, symbolizing the complete conclusion of the games. Next was the lowering of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation flag and the games flag, followed by the handover ceremony to the next host. The Malaysian national flag was raised, accompanied by a performance from Malaysia titled "SUARA JIWA: VOICE OF THE SOUL," which impressively reflected the identity, creativity, and readiness of the next host.

The event concluded with the "Isan Muan" performance by the "Prathom Banthoeng Sin" Mor Lam band, conveying the pride, spirit, and unity born from the competition through performing arts that reflected the athletes' spirit, while sending inspiration forward to every heart. This marked the complete, elegant, and impressive conclusion of the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand.

The 13th ASEAN Para Games, hosted by Thailand from January 20–26, 2026, in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, saw the Thai para-athlete team perform exceptionally well. They secured the top spot on the medal table with 175 gold, 155 silver, and 158 bronze medals, totaling 488 medals. This achievement is a source of pride for Thai sports fans and another success reflecting the potential of Thai para-athletes on the ASEAN regional stage.

"เบิร์ด" วงศธร กุลทอง คือหนึ่งในนักกีฬาคนพิการทีมชาติไทยที่ได้มีโอกาสมาเข้าร่วมมหกรรมอาเซียนพาราเกมส์เป็นครั้งแรกในชีวิต ในคลาส เอสเอช2 แม้จะอายุ 40 แล้วแต่ วงศธร ก็ไม่ได้จับปืนเล่นกีฬามานานมากถ้าเทียบกับตำนานคนอื่นๆ แต่ด้วยความตั้งใจ หมั่นฝึกซ้อม และพรสวรรค์ฟ้าประทาน ก็ทำให้เจ้าตัวเริ่มฉายแสงมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในช่วงปีหลังๆ มานี้ จากการที่เริ่มเอาชนะรุ่นพี่สตาร์ในแคมป์ทีมชาติอย่าง อนุสรณ์ ไชยชำนาญ ได้ ก่อนจะไปคว้าแชมป์โลกมาได้ล่าสุดในประเภทปืนยาว ซึ่งกับอาเซียนพาราเกมส์หนนี้เจ้าตัวก็สามารถก้าวผ่านความตื่นเต้นและคว้ามาได้ 1 เหรียญทองจากประเภทปืนอัดลม ไรเฟิล นั่งยิง ผสม 10 ม.

"เขต" นฤมิตร เบญขุนทด นี่คือดาวโรจน์ดวงใหม่ของวงการวีลแชร์เทนนิสทีมชาติไทยอย่างแท้จริง รวมทั้งน่าจะเป็นน้องสุดที่รักของจอมเก๋า สุธี คลองรั้ว วีลแชร์เทนนิสมากประสบการณ์ทีมชาติไทยด้วย เพราะหลังจากสตาฟโค้ชและ สุธี เห็นพ้องต้องกันว่า นฤมิตร มีศักยภาพมากพอที่จะเป็นดูโอ้ ของ สุธี ก่อนที่ทั้งคู่จะรวมพลังกันคว้าเหรียญทองประเภทชายคู่มาครองได้ในอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งนี้ แม้จะเป็นมหกรรมครั้งแรกของ นฤมิตร ถือว่าเป็นนักกีฬาพาราไทยอีกคนที่กำลังน่าจับตาดูอย่างมาก

สุดท้ายคือตำนานของจริง เมื่อได้โอกาสมาเล่นอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งแรกหลังจากที่ก่อนหน้านี้วีลแชร์ฟันดาบไม่เคยได้รับการบรรจุเลย "แวว" สายสุนีย์ จ๊ะนะ ฮีโร่พาราไทยเจ้าของ 5 เหรียญทองพาราลิมปิกเกมส์ และเป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทยเป็นผู้ถือคบเพลิงในวันพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันเมื่อวันที่ 20 มกราคมที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งแม้เจ้าตัวจะเป็นระดับซุปตาร์ของโลกในกีฬาคนพิการ แต่กับอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ถือว่าเพิ่งจะได้นับ 1 ด้วยเหตุผลหลายๆ อย่างทำให้อาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งนี้เพิ่งจะได้บรรจุเป็นครั้งแรก และ พี่แวว ในวัย 52 ปีก็ไม่ทำให้แฟนๆ ต้องผิดหวัง แม้พี่ใหญ่ของวงการจะพยายามหลีกทางให้น้องๆ รุ่นใหม่ได้ขึ้นมามีเวทีแสดงความสามารถในประเภทดาบเอเป้ บุคคล หญิง ที่ตนเองถนัด แต่กับอีก 3 ประเภทที่เจ้าตัวเลือกลงแข่งก็ทำผลงานได้อย่างไร้ที่ติ กวาด 3 เหรียญทองสำหรับอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งแรกของตนเองมาครองได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยมทั้ง ดาบเซเบอร์ บุคคล หญิง, ดาบฟอยล์ บุคคลหญิง และ ดาบเอเป้ ทีมผสม

Thai Para-Athletes Shine with Gold in Their Debut!

The 13th ASEAN Para Games have successfully concluded with the Thai national team proudly securing the top spot on the medal table. It is a source of immense pride that our star athletes maintained their high standards, delivering excellent performances and sweeping gold medals across the board. On the other hand, this major ASEAN competition has also served as a stage for many new stars to emerge.

"Bird" Wongsathon Kunthong is one of the Thai national para-athletes who had the opportunity to participate in the ASEAN Para Games for the first time in his life, competing in the SH2 class. Although he is 40 years old, Wongsathon hasn't been shooting for very long compared to other legends. However, through his determination, consistent practice, and natural talent, he has begun to shine brighter in recent years, starting to outperform senior stars in the national team camp like Anuson Chaichamnan. Having recently won a world championship in rifle shooting, he overcame his nervousness at this ASEAN Para Games to win a gold medal in the R5 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone event.

"Khet" Naluemitr Benkhunthod is truly a rising star in the Thai wheelchair tennis scene. He is also likely the beloved junior partner of the veteran Suthi Khlongrua, a highly experienced Thai wheelchair tennis player. After the coaching staff and Suthi agreed that Naluemitr had the potential to be Suthi's duo partner, they combined forces to win the gold medal in the Men's Doubles event at this year's ASEAN Para Games. Even though this was Naluemitr's first major games, he is definitely a Thai para-athlete to watch.

Finally, a true legend emerged when she got the chance to compete in the ASEAN Para Games for the first time, as wheelchair fencing had never been included before. "Waew" Saysunee Jana, a Thai Paralympic hero and five-time Paralympic gold medalist, represented Thailand as the torchbearer at the opening ceremony on January 20th. Although she is a world-class superstar in para-sports, this was her first time competing in the ASEAN Para Games due to the sport's previous exclusion. At 52 years old, Waew didn't disappoint her fans. While she tried to make way for the younger generation to shine in her expert event, the Women's Individual Épée, she performed flawlessly in the other three events she entered. She swept 3 gold medals in her first ASEAN Para Games: Women's Individual Sabre, Women's Individual Foil, and Mixed Team Épée.

พิธีปิดการแข่งขันกีฬาอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ณ สนามกีฬาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2550 จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ปิดฉากลงพร้อมกับผลงานของทัพนักกีฬาพาราทีมชาติไทย หลังช่วยกันคว้ามาได้ 175 เหรียญทอง 155 เหรียญเงิน 156 เหรียญทองแดง ทวงเจ้าเหรียญทองจากอินโดนีเซีย กลับคืนมาได้สำเร็จอีกครั้ง หลังทำได้ครั้งล่าสุดในครั้งที่ 8 ที่ประเทศสิงคโปร์ เมื่อปี 2558

ในการเดินเข้าสนาม เริ่มที่ขบวนธงชาติและขบวนพาเหรดนักกีฬา 10 ประเทศ และมาสคอต "เดอะ สาน" เดินเข้าสู่สนาม โดยขบวนพาเหรดของนักกีฬาพาราไทย มี ประครอง บัวใหญ่ นักฟุตบอลคนตาบอดทีมชาติไทย รับหน้าที่ถือธงไตรรงค์นำทัพ

จากนั้นเป็นพิธีอัญเชิญธงอาเซียนพาราเกมส์และธงการแข่งขันลงจากยอดเสา ต่อด้วยพิธีส่งมอบธงสหพันธ์พาราเกมส์ให้กับประเทศเจ้าภาพต่อไป โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ร.ท.ณัยณพ ภิรมย์ภักดี ประธานคณะกรรมการพาราลิมปิกแห่งประเทศไทย ร่วมส่งมอบธงประจำการแข่งขันอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ให้กับเจ้าภาพครั้งต่อไป ประเทศมาเลเซีย ในปี 2027

13th ASEAN Para Games Officially Closes Amidst Grand Performances and Spectacular Light and Sound

The closing ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Para Games at His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima, concluded along with the outstanding achievements of the Thai Para athletes. The team collectively won 175 gold, 155 silver, and 156 bronze medals, successfully reclaiming the overall championship title from Indonesia. This marks their return to the top spot since the 8th edition in Singapore in 2015.

The procession into the stadium began with the national flags, the athlete parades from 10 countries, and the mascot "The San" entering the field. The Thai Para athlete parade was led by Prakhrong Buayai, a Thai national blind football player, who served as the flag bearer carrying the Tricolour flag.

This was followed by the ceremony of lowering the ASEAN Para Games flag and the competition flag from the pole. Next was the handover ceremony of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation flag to the next host country. Lt. Naiyanobh Bhirombhakdi, President of the Paralympic Committee of Thailand, participated in handing over the games' flag to the next host, Malaysia, for the year 2027.

APSF ยกย่อง "โคราช 2025" สร้างมาตรฐานใหม่ให้กับการแข่งขันอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13

นครราชสีมา, ประเทศไทย, 25 มกราคม — สหพันธ์กีฬาคนพิการแห่งอาเซียน (APSF) ระบุว่า การแข่งขันอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ประจำปี 2025 ณ ประเทศไทย ถือเป็นครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ที่สร้างบรรทัดฐานใหม่ทั้งในด้านขนาด การแข่งขันที่เข้มข้น และผลกระทบต่อภูมิภาค ในขณะที่การแข่งขันกำลังจะเข้าสู่พิธีปิด

ในการแถลงข่าวช่วงก่อนพิธีปิด ณ ศูนย์ข่าวหลัก (MPC) พลตรี โอสถ ภาวิไล ประธาน APSF กล่าวว่า "โคราชเกมส์" ถือเป็นก้าวย่างที่สำคัญในการพัฒนากีฬาคนพิการทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

“การแข่งขันครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการกลับมาจัดอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ที่ประสบความสำเร็จของประเทศไทยในรอบ 18 ปีเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการยืนยันถึงความแข็งแกร่ง การเติบโต และความพร้อมของกีฬาคนพิการในภูมิภาคอาเซียน” พลตรี โอสถ กล่าว

โคราช 2025 ถือเป็นอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ครั้งที่ใหญ่ที่สุดเท่าที่เคยมีมา โดยมีการชิงชัยในกีฬามากที่สุดถึง 19 ชนิดกีฬา มีจำนวนนักกีฬาและเจ้าหน้าที่มากที่สุด และมีการชิงเหรียญรางวัลรวม 1,472 เหรียญ (496 เหรียญทอง, 482 เหรียญเงิน และ 494 เหรียญทองแดง) ณ สนามแข่งขันต่างๆ ในจังหวัดนครราชสีมาและพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง

“เราได้เห็นผลงานที่ยอดเยี่ยม ทั้งจากดาวรุ่งดวงใหม่และแชมป์ผู้มากประสบการณ์ที่สร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับคนรุ่นหลัง ที่สำคัญเรายังได้เห็นการแข่งขันที่เข้มข้นขึ้นในหลายชนิดกีฬา” พลตรี โอสถ กล่าวเสริม

ในด้านการจัดการแข่งขัน APSF ระบุว่าการแข่งขันดำเนินไปอย่างปลอดภัย มีระบบ และยึดนักกีฬาเป็นศูนย์กลาง โดยได้รับความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิดระหว่าง APSF ประเทศเจ้าภาพ และคณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันในพื้นที่ (THASOC)

นอกจากนี้ พลตรี โอสถ ได้แสดงความขอบคุณต่อรัฐบาลไทย, กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา, การกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย, คณะกรรมการพาราลิมปิกแห่งประเทศไทย, คณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ (THASOC) ตลอดจนอาสาสมัคร เจ้าหน้าที่ และสื่อมวลชน

ด้าน พลตรี ดร. วันดี โตสุวรรณ เลขาธิการ APSF กล่าวว่า การแข่งขันทั้ง 19 ชนิดกีฬา ดำเนินการตามกฎระเบียบของ APSF และมาตรฐานสหพันธ์กีฬานานาชาติ

“การแข่งขันทั้งหมดสำเร็จลุล่วงด้วยการประสานงานที่เข้มแข็งระหว่างฝ่ายเทคนิค เจ้าหน้าที่ และผู้จัดงาน เพื่อให้มั่นใจในความยุติธรรม ความปลอดภัยของนักกีฬา และความโปร่งใสของการแข่งขัน” เธอกล่าว พร้อมระบุว่าส่วนงานสำคัญ เช่น การจัดระดับความพิการ (Classification), การตัดสิน, บริการทางการแพทย์, การคุ้มครองความปลอดภัย และการต่อต้านการใช้สารต้องห้าม ได้ถูกนำมาใช้อย่างเคร่งครัดตลอดการแข่งขัน โดยมีนักกีฬาทั้งสิ้น 709 คนที่ผ่านกระบวนการจัดระดับความพิการในครั้งนี้

พลตรี ดร. วันดี กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า โคราช 2025 ยังเป็นแพลตฟอร์มสำคัญในการสร้างศักยภาพระดับภูมิภาค “เกมส์ครั้งนี้ได้รวบรวมเจ้าหน้าที่ ผู้จัดระดับความพิการ โค้ช และผู้บริหารจากทั่วอาเซียน ทำให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ที่มีค่าและเสริมสร้างรากฐานการพัฒนากีฬาคนพิการในภูมิภาค”

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีความก้าวหน้าอย่างมากในด้านการถ่ายทอดสดและสื่อดิจิทัล โดยมีการถ่ายทอดสด 15 ชนิดกีฬาทุกวัน ส่งสัญญาณโดยตรงจากโคราชไปยังศูนย์ถ่ายทอดสดนานาชาติ (IBC) ในกรุงเทพฯ ก่อนจะถูกนำไปเผยแพร่โดยผู้ให้บริการสถานีโทรทัศน์มากกว่า 12 แห่งทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ซึ่งช่วยขยายเรื่องราวของนักกีฬาคนพิการและสร้างความตระหนักรู้แก่สาธารณชน

การแข่งขันอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 13 ณ ประเทศไทย จะสิ้นสุดลงในวันจันทร์ที่ 26 มกราคม หลังจากผ่านพ้นสัปดาห์แห่งการชิงชัยที่คณะผู้จัดงานกล่าวว่าได้ช่วยเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีในภูมิภาคและยกระดับภาพลักษณ์ของกีฬาคนพิการในอาเซียนให้สูงขึ้น

Korat 2025 sets new heights for 13th ASEAN Para Games, says APSF

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Thailand, Jan 25 — The ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) has described the 13th ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025 as a landmark edition that has set new benchmarks for scale, competitiveness and regional impact, as the Games approach their Closing Ceremony.

Speaking at a pre-closing press conference at the Games Main Press Centre (MPC), APSF President Major General Osoth Bhavilai said, the Korat Games represented a significant milestone in the development of para sport across Southeast Asia.

“These Games mark not only a successful return of the ASEAN Para Games to Thailand after 18 years, but also a strong reaffirmation of the resilience, growth and maturity of para sport in the ASEAN region,” Bhavilai said.

Korat 2025 has been the largest edition of the ASEAN Para Games to date, featuring a record 19 sports, highest number of athletes and officials and a total of 1,472 medals - 496 gold, 482 silver and 494 bronze medals – contested across venues in and around the northeastern Thai city.

“We have witnessed outstanding performances, new talents and experienced champions inspiring the next generation. Importantly, we have also seen increased competitiveness across multiple sports,” Bhavilai said.

From an organisational perspective, APSF said the Games were delivered in a safe, structured and athlete-centred manner, crediting close cooperation between APSF, the host nation and the Local Organising Committee (THASOC).

Maj Gen Bhavilai also expressed appreciation to the Royal Thai Government, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Paralympic Committee of Thailand, the Thailand ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee (THASOC), as well as volunteers, officials and the media.

APSF Secretary General Major General Dr Wandee Tosuwan meanwhile, said competitions across all 19 sports were conducted in line with APSF regulations and international federation standards.

“All competitions were delivered through strong coordination between technical delegates, officials and organisers, ensuring fairness, athlete safety and the integrity of competition,” she said, adding that key operational areas such as classification, officiating, medical services, safeguarding and anti-doping were implemented throughout the Games. A total of 709 athletes underwent classification during the event.

Maj Gen Dr Wandee added that Korat 2025 also served as an important platform for regional capacity building. “These Games have brought together officials, classifiers, coaches and administrators from across ASEAN, allowing valuable exchange of knowledge and strengthening the foundation of para sport development in the region,” she said.

The Games saw significant steps forward in broadcast and digital coverage, with 15 sports on daily live broadcast, with broadcast signals transmitted directly from Korat to the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) located in Bangkok, before being picked up by more than 12 broadcasters across Southeast Asia.

The expanded coverage had helped amplify the stories of para athletes and increased public awareness of para sport across the region, she said.

During the Games, APSF convened meetings of its Executive Committee and Board of Governors, with the Board commending THASOC for the overall delivery of the Games. “Malaysia, the next host nation, also has presented its preliminary plans for the 14th ASEAN Para Games Kuala Lumpur 2027, proposing 18 sports, subject to further review,” she said.

The 13th ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025 conclude on Monday, January 26, following a week of competition that organisers say has strengthened regional unity and elevated the profile of para sport in ASEAN.
