A good samaritan spotted this pup running down the street and Gumball happily jumped in the car. They kept her at home 5 days and said she was an excellent houseguest! 🏠 Friendly with both children and adults in the home.

Since arriving at MCACC on 1/12, Gumball has only been out of her kennel twice. Being confined for these extended periods has made her frustrated and now she is growling and barking when people stand outside of her kennel. We think she’s simply asking people to let her out of there! Rather than giving her more walks and attention, shelter management has given her a deadline. 😢 Gumball deserves a chance to live!

During her brief times outside, staff have said good things about Gumball. She enjoys sniffing and exploring the yard, sometimes chasing the ball for a bit. What she seems to enjoy most is attention! Gumball kept coming back for petting and leaned against their legs. 💙 At one point, she gently put her front paws on their lap to make sure the petting continued!

This beautiful, 73 lb, 8 year old, male German Shepherd Dog is "observed to be struggling" in the shelter environment and this may cost him his life! Leslie is an intelligent, active, loyal shepherd that is having a difficult time being confined to a kennel and not getting out for days on end. 😭

His notes state that Leslie is a bit shy and reserved. He shows his fearfulness and communicates with people by voicing low grumbles. He’s a bit head shy and doesn’t like pets on the head or neck but most dogs don’t appreciate that. He has been eager to exit his kennel and just needs time to build trust. German Shepherds initially can be discriminate with certain people, but once they bond, 💚 they will be very protective of their loved ones.
