⚡𝑬𝑪𝑨𝑴 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆 2021⚡, 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 "𝑮𝑯𝑮 𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏" 𝑮𝒐𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑵𝑫𝑪) 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅

𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐒 Research Team led by Dr. Atitaya Panuvatvanich (Senior Researcher) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalor Jarusutthirak (National Expert) had organized the workshop training on application of The Energy Performance and Carbon Emissions Assessment and Monitoring Tool (ECAM Tool) on 1 – 2 April 2021 at Amari Don Muang Airport Hotel. There were participants from Municipalities, Department of Drainage & Sewerage (DDS), Regional Environmental Offices (REO), Wastewater Management Authority (WMA), Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) and Pollution Control Department (PCD). The key objective is to encourage the participants to apply ECAM tool for assessing GHG emission, optimizing system performance under their urban water cycle within operational boundaries of water, wastewater and f***l sludge utilities. Consequently, they could select appropriate mitigation plan for greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction on energy and wastewater sector. This is to support the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of Thailand for 2 MtCO2 equivalent or 20% reduction in waste sector by 2030.

This is one of activity under the project “Study on systematic approach and climate change of domestic wastewater management in Thailand” which is the collaboration of AIT, Pollution Control Department (PCD) and German International Cooperation (GIZ).

ทีมวิจัย 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐒 นำโดย ดร.อาทิตยา ภานุวัฒน์วนิชย์ (นักวิจัยอาวุโส) และ รศ. ดร.ชลอ จารุสุทธิรักษ์ (ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ) ได้จัดการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการการใช้โปรแกรมประเมินประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงานและการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของการจัดการน้ำเสียชุมชน (ECAM Tool) ในวันที่ 1 – 2 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2564 ณ โรงแรมอมารี ดอนเมือง โดยมีผู้ได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมจากหลากหลายหน่วยงาน อาทิเช่น เทศบาลส่วนท้องถิ่น สำนักการระบายน้ำกรุงเทพมหานคร สำนักงานสิ่งแวดล้อมภาค (สสภ.) องค์การจัดการน้ำเสีย (อจน.) และ องค์การบริหารจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก (อบก.) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์คือ การส่งเสริมการประยุกต์ใช้โปรแกรม ECAM Tool สำหรับการประเมินการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกและการปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพการใช้พลังงานภายใต้ขอบเขตการดำเนินงานของระบบสาธารณูประโภคด้านน้ำ น้ำเสีย และการจัดการสิ่งปฏิกูล ทำให้ผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมสามารถเลือกใช้มาตรการต่างๆที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในภาคพลังงานและของเสีย ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสนับสนุนแผนยุทธศาสตร์ด้านการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของประเทศไทยที่มีการกำหนดไว้ประมาณ 2 ล้านตันคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าให้ได้ภายในปี พ.ศ. 2573

𝐅𝐚𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐮𝐦 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝.

𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐒 research team from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) had organized site sampling on November 2020 from vacuum trucks with emptied faecal sludge from household’s onsite sanitation systems at Songkhla city municipality, Songkhla province. This is one of activity under the project “Study on a systematic approach and climate change of domestic wastewater management in Thailand” which is the collaboration of AIT, Pollution Control Department (PCD) and German International Cooperation (GIZ).

Next plan will be conducted site sampling at other regions for a good representative results of Thailand which include of Rayong, Khonkaen and Chiangmai within 2020.

การเก็บตัวอย่างสิ่งปฏิกูลจากรถสูบส้วมทั่วทุกภาคในประเทศไทย

คณะผู้วิจัยจาก 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐒 สถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย ได้ลงพื้นที่ เทศบาลนครสงขลา เก็บข้อมูล และเก็บตัวอย่างสิ่งปฏิกูลจากรถสูบสิ่งปฏิกูล เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนสิ่งปฏิกูลจากระบบบำบัดแบบติดกับที่ของบ้านเรือน ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมของโครงการ “การศึกษาระบบการจัดการและศักยภาพการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียชุมชน” จากความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย (AIT) กรมควบคุมมลพิษ (PCD) และองค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมัน (GIZ)

กิจกรรมต่อไป คือการเก็บตัวอย่างสิ่งปฏิกูลจากรถสูบส้วมในภาคอื่น ๆ ได้แก่ จังหวัดระยอง ขอนแก่น และเชียงใหม่ โดยจะเสร็จสิ้นภายในปี 2563

On the occasion of United Nations (UN) announce that 19 November of each year is "𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙏𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙮". Thailand Ministry of Public Health by Department of Health on 16 November 2020 organized an event themed “The New Normal Public Toilet for All”.

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) by Dr. Eden Woon, AIT President participated in the event and got a reward "The Organization for Driving the Thai Public Toilet" from Dr. Satit Pituthecha, Deputy Minister of Public Health at ICONSIAM Shopping Mall, Bangkok, Thailand.

In addition, 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗦 and 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗕, led by Prof. Thammarat Koottatep, participated in Booth exhibition in this event to promote laboratory services and innovative technologies for backwater treatment from toilets which were developed by NATS.

Dr. Eden Woon อธิการบดี สถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย (AIT) ได้รับโล่ประกาศเกียรติคุณ "รางวัลองค์กรขับเคลื่อนงานส้วมสาธารณะไทย"

ตามมติที่ประชุมสมัชชาใหญ่ขององค์การสหประชาชาติ (United Nations : UN) กำหนดให้วันที่ 19 พฤศจิกายนของทุกปีเป็น "วันส้วมโลก" กระทรวงสาธารณสุข โดยกรมอนามัย จัดกิจกรรมรณรงค์วันส้วมโลก ในปี 2563 ภายใต้หัวข้อ "ส้วมสาธารณะวิถีใหม่เพื่อทุกคน” (The New Normal Public Toilet for All)

อธิการบดี สถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย (AIT) Dr. Eden Woon ได้เข้าร่วมในงานรณรงค์วันส้วมโลก ประจำปี 2563 พร้อมรับรับโล่ประกาศเกียรติคุณรางวัล "องค์กรขับเคลื่อนงานส้วมสาธารณะไทย" จาก ดร.สาธิต ปิตุเตชะ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ณ ศูนย์การค้าไอคอนสยาม เขตคลองสาน กรุงเทพมหานคร

นอกจากนี้ 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗦 และ 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗕 นำโดย ศ.ดร.ธรรมรัตน์ คุตตะเทพ ยังได้เข้าร่วมในการจัดนิทรรศการในงานดังกล่าว เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์บริการของห้องปฏิบัติการ และนวัฒกรรมในการบำบัดสิ่งปฏิกูลจากห้องส้วม

Wastewater, Sludge & F***l Sludge Analysis Laboratory

NATS research team from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) had organized study site survey and equipment installation on July 20-24, 2020 for sampling from sixteen Non-sewered sanitation treatment systems at Nakhon Sawan municipality, Nakhon Sawan province.

This is one of activity under the project “Study on systematic approach and climate change of domestic wastewater management in Thailand” which is the collaboration of AIT, Pollution Control Department (PCD) and German International Cooperation (GIZ).

ระหว่างวันที่ 20-24 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2563 คณะผู้วิจัยจาก NATS สถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย ได้ลงพื้นที่ ณ จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ เพื่อสำรวจ เก็บข้อมูล และติดตั้งจุดเก็บตัวอย่างน้ำสียและสิ่งปฏิกูลจากระบบบำบัดแบบติดกับที่ จำนวน 16 หลังคาเรือน ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมของโครงการ “การศึกษาระบบการจัดการและศักยภาพการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียชุมชน” จากความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย (AIT) กรมควบคุมมลพิษ (PCD) และองค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมัน (GIZ)

During July 8-10, 2020, NATS Team which is researchers team from Asian Institute Technology (AIT) leads by Dr. Atitaya Panuvatvanich together with Pollution Control Department (PCD); Dr. Yutthachai Sarathai - Environmental Officer Senior Professional Level and German International Cooperation (GIZ); Mr. Werner Kossmann – GIZ Project Director had a field trip to Nakhon Sawan Municipality (NSM), Nakhon Sawan Province under the project “Study on systematic approach and climate change of domestic wastewater management in Thailand”.

The field visit team was warmly welcomed by Mr. Jittahkasem Nirojthanarat - NSM mayor and representative team. In addition, the research team presented the project plan & details and requested information lists in order to evaluate the GHG emissions from domestic wastewater management by ECAM Tool, select the appropriate households (Cesspool and Commercial Packaged Tank) for gas, sludge and wastewater sampling, survey the wastewater and faecal sludge treatment plants.

Moreover, the beneficial knowledge and information exchange occurred between each other with expectation of effective project implementation and further use of project outcome.

ระหว่างวันที่ 8-10 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2563 ทีมคณะผู้วิจัย NATS จากสถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชียนำโดย ดร.อาทิตยา ภาณุวัฒน์วนิชย์ พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากกรมควบคุมมลพิษ (PCD) ดร.ยุทธชัย สาระไทย นักวิชาการสิ่งแวดล้อมชำนาญการพิเศษ และองค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมัน (GIZ) นำโดย มร.แวร์เนอร์ คอสมันน์ ผู้อำนวยการโครงการ ได้ลงพื้นที่เทศบาลนครนครสวรค์เพื่อสำรวจพื้นที่และเก็บข้อมูลสำหรับโครงการ “การศึกษาระบบการจัดการและศักยภาพการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียชุมชน”

โดยทางคณะฯ ได้รับเกียรติจากท่านจิตตเกษมณ์ นิโรจน์ธนรัฐ นายกเทศมนตรีเทศบาลนครนครสวรรค์ และคณะผู้แทนจากเทศบาลนครนครสวรรค์ให้การต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่น ในการณ์นี้ทางคณะผู้วิจัยได้นำเสนอรายละเอียดงานและการขอความอนุเคราะห์เพื่อขอข้อมูลเพื่อนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการประเมินปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกด้วยโปรแกรม ECAM Tool สำหรับประเทศไทย

นอกจากนี้ยังมีกิจกรรมการลงพื้นที่คัดเลือกบ้านตัวอย่างเพื่อติดตั้งอุปกรณ์เก็บตัวอย่างก๊าซ กากตะกอน และน้ำเสีย และการลงพื้นที่ศึกษาดูงานของโรงปรับปรุงคุณภาพน้ำ และการจัดการสิ่งปฏิกูลในพื้นที่ อีกทั้งทางคณะผู้แทนเทศบาลนครนครสวรรค์ยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นกับทางคณะผู้วิจัย เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานวิจัยเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และสามารถนำผลลัพธ์ของการวิจัยไปใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด
