Remembering Jordan Harris

The Nauru sporting community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jordan Harris, born on 28 July 2008 and laid to rest on 25 July 2026, just days before his 18th birthday.

Jordan's journey in football began at a very young age, inspired and supported by his family.

And a phrase descirbed by his mother "Jordan is a hard-core, die-hard" son, he is highly determined and has a very strong passionate in playing the Afl Rule.

Through countless training sessions, matches, and challenges, she stood proudly beside him as he developed into one of Nauru's promising young football talents.

Jordan's love for football started in his childhood, where his passion, determination, and natural ability quickly became evident to coaches and teammates.

• Rising Through the Ranks: His dedication earned him recognition as a rising Nauruan football star, progressing through development pathways and securing a place within the Nauru Football Academy, where he continued to grow both as a player and as a young leader.

• Elite Recognition: Despite his young age, Jordan's talent saw him selected among the Elite Squad for the Gary Ablett Jr East-West Treaty Cup, a remarkable achievement that reflected his commitment, skill, and bright future in the sport.

• A Lasting Legacy: Jordan will be remembered not only for his football ability but also for his humility, sportsmanship, and the friendships he built along the way.

His story continues to inspire young athletes across Nauru to pursue their dreams with courage and determination.
