Snooker Rules:
A frame of snooker starts with 22 balls on the table, each with different points values:
Red - 1 point
Yellow - 2 points
Green - 3 points
Brown - 4 points
Blue - 5 points
Pink - 6 points
Black - 7 points
And the white cue ball.
Each player attempts to score points by striking the white ball on to the coloured balls with his cue, and potting them into one of six pockets on the table.
He pots reds and the other colours alternately, before the other colours in sequence. He also scores points if his opponent plays a foul stroke.
The player scoring the most points wins the frame, and a match is the best of a pre-determined number of frames. At the Nirvana Turkish Masters, all matches up until the quarter-finals were best of nine frames, then the semi-finals were best of 11 and the final was best of 17.
