A Masala Chai to perk you up in the morning or late afternoon!

Benefits: prevents digestive disorders and promotes digestive health, anti-inflammatory, fatigue relief, immune booster and more.

3 cups of tea

* 1 whole cinnamon stick
* 6-8 green cardamom pods
* 1 tsp whole black peppercorns
* 3-4 whole cloves
* 2 ½ cups water
* 2 Tbsp grated ginger (for less intense ginger flavor, slice instead of grating)
* 3 Tbsp loose leaf black tea
* 2 cups of fresh milk (substitute with oat milk, coconut milk, soya milk…)
* Sweetener of your choice
Simple to make
1. Crush the spices into small pieces with a mortar or cutting b
2. In a saucepan, add the crushed spices, water, and grated (or sliced) ginger and bring to a boil over high heat.
3. Add tea and milk. Cover and continue cooking for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Then turn off heat and let steep for 5 minutes more covered.

Stress, anxiety, panic? A simple breathing technique, give it a try?

Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position or in Savasana and follow these steps…

Let your breath flow as deep down into your belly as is comfortable.

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Breathe in gently and regularly at a count of inhale deeply 3 counts, exhale long and slowly 6 counts.

Adapt the counts to what you are able to do.

5 - 10 minutes!

Tips for a Nidra session:
- Don't worry about your thoughts just let them come in and out. Embrace that your thoughts without needing to develop them.
- Avoid eating just before the session. If you need a bite to eat, have a piece of fruit or some nuts.
- Wear comfortable loose fit clothing.
- Use props that make you feel comfortable, such as a pillow, a blanket, a bolster under the knees.
- Relax in Savasana on a yoga mat, bed, couch...
- Enjoy the session in stillness for the best benefits, avoid moving and trying to find alternative positions once the session has started.
- Enjoy the silence at the end of the session and for an hour afterwards. There is no need to talk and share the experience unless you really need too! : )
