AC Women's Cricket Team

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the AC Women’s Cricket Team. We are an all-girls cricket team based in Central Trinidad. We comprise of passionate, energetic and talented females starting from the age of 10 years from various parts of Trinidad. The team was birthed in 2020 under the leadership of our President and Coach, Brenda Solozano, ex National Cricketer for Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies Women’s Cricket. We entered the TTWCA Championship Division. In 2022, AC Women’s Cricket Team became champions of the TTWCA, Championship Division, 30-over League in 2022 and was promoted to the Premiership Division. Under Ms. Solozano’s guidance and through her passion for development of Women’s Cricket in Trinidad and Tobago she was able to create a sister team, Brenda Solozano Cricket Academy in 2023 due to the rapid growth of the AC Women’s Cricket Team. The development of this Academy allows younger girls who are in their early stages of development the opportunity to play cricket competitively and gain knowledge and experience as they grow. Currently some of the players from both teams are vying for selection to be part of the Trinidad and Tobago U-16 and U-19 Women’s Team. Our teams strongly support holistic development and fosters sisterhood. Our main goals are to provide an environment where all the girls who are part of our teams feel welcomed, included and well cared for so in turn they can perform to the best of their ability and their talent can be exposed, recognized and achieve success locally and regionally.
