In Loving Memory of Randy Ramcharan 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that Team TMFT acknowledge the passing of a true veteran of the game, Randy Ramcharan.

A former standout for St. Augustine Secondary and a dedicated member of our football community, Randy’s passion for the sport was evident until his very last moments on the pitch. He passed away doing what he loved most, leaving behind a legacy of sportsmanship, teamwork, and an infectious love for the beautiful game.

To his family, friends, and teammates: we share in your grief. We hope you find comfort in the memories of his skill, his laughter, and the light he brought to every match. Randy was more than just a player; he was a brother to many in the football fraternity.

Randy, you have played your final whistle here, but your spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who walked the pitch with you.

Before sunrise, two women walked to a garden tomb. They carried spices for a body they believed was still dead. But when they arrived, the stone was already rolled away. No Roman guard could move it. No friend had touched it. The tomb was open—and empty.

This Easter Sunday, we are not drawing bunnies or hiding eggs. We are standing with Mary Magdalene and the other Mary at the mouth of that rock‑hewn grave. We are looking into the darkness where death used to live—and finding nothing but folded linen and the echo of an angel’s voice.

He is not here. That is the whole of our hope. That is the hinge of history.

Let that silence speak. Let that empty space fill you with something no grave can hold.

SHOUT FREEDOM. SHOUT FAITH. SHOUT LIBERATION. 🕯️

Today, we honor Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day - a celebration of resilience, worship, and the triumph of the human spirit.

On this day in 1996, the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago declared March 30th as a national holiday, repealing the unjust Shouters Prohibition Ordinance that once silenced these sacred voices.

Here's why we pause. We reflect. We give thanks.

1. The Shout Was Never Noise
What society once called "shouting" was always prayer with drums from Dahomey, hymns from the enslaved, water poured in baptism. A holy roar that refused to be quieted.

2. Faith Forged in Struggle
From the Company Villages of South Trinidad to the hills of St. Vincent, the Spiritual Baptist faith rose; uniquely Trinidadian, unapologetically vibrant.

3. Freedom Has a Sound
Today, the purple and white robes wave. The flag dances. And the shout echoes through every believer; not as a slur, but as a declaration.

Tobago was once joined to the South American continent about one million years ago. This history has resulted in considerable endemism. For example, 31% of the birds that nest on Tobago are endemics (found nowhere else!).

The Main Ridge provides a critical habitat for 12-16 mammal species, 24 non-poisonous snakes, 16 lizards (including the endemic ocellated gecko!), and 210 species of birds. 🌎
