Find your purpose, the reason to get up in the morning and embrace living!
Easier said than done so when I open my eyes, I think Of 3 things for which I am grateful sometimes it's as simple as the bed I slept on or the water running through our taps.
I think of the my family for whom I am extremely grateful and this helps me to focus on what makes me tick.
This Christmas Eve, I had the pleasure of baking banana bread, sweet bread, fruit cake, ham and with help made pastelles! Busy work days meant I could not do it before. I realised that I had intense enjoyment preparing the goodies for my family.
What's your purpose? What ultimately makes you happy?

Small consistent steps is necessary to achieve a goal. However onr needs to make the goal specific and list something that can be done to make it a reality.
Today I started with 3km ... 32 mins jogging/walking. This is one step in the goal of being healthy and fit.
Next will be my eating choices. What small step will you take today?

As the proverb says if you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far you go together.
Today I did my first 20 miler in preparation for my first marathon in December. At mile 15 I was not sure that I would complete it but Cherrie, Shirene, Denise and Dulcie cheered me on.
I also had the opportunity to take some phenomenal photos as the weather was perfect. I have to thank for the wonderful mix of soca that kept me company as my pace was slow.
I dedicate this run to my husband Ian, our children Salima, Francois, Joie-Marie and Michel. I also am grateful for all of my running/walking buddies who support me on this journey call life!

Perseverance is one of my guiding principles. Yesterday I completed my second half marathon. The first one I did at 42 and now I am 54.
At mile 11, I was ready to give up ... it took a lot of mind work to put one foot in front the other, but complete it I did!
My time was 21 minutes less than my first attempt so I am thrilled at my outcome.
Thanks to Cherrie for always encouraging me to push my limit.

I am grateful for those moments that make my heart flutter.
My husband and I love to dance and listen to great music so when we have the opportunity to go to a party that has just the right vibe we are indeed fortunate!
This picture captured a special feeling and I never tire of being grateful for that moment. What moment are you grateful for today?

Consistency ...in action ... whether it is being kind, moving daily, eating nutritiously, expressing gratitude and showing love ... is key to a fulfilling life.
I have completed 19 miles in my 3rd week of a marathon training plan ... stretching is a key component of the plan and I am required to do so on the days that I do not run and as the weeks go along I am required to stretch daily.
It is amazing what 5 to 15 minutes of stretching does for your body ... have you stretched today?

Today I salute my coach Gisele who is awe inspiring. I remember listening to her speak to a hall of Providence Girls' in 2011 and she motivated me to be a life coach and inspire others.
Nothing beats action and she is also the one who inspired me to blog daily ... I did this consistency for 2 years.
I decided I wanted to write a book and got stuck but recently I realised that there was no reason to stop writing my blog.
It was great seeing you Friday Giselle and I am grateful that you are part of my life's journey. Continue to inspire with your amazing writing and I love your sense of humour.
Cheers to another incredible woman in my life!
