My name is John Procope and I am a forty seven year old SCUBA Diver and swimmer from Trinidad and Tobago..... I first became interested in the challenge of swimming the ocean channel between Trinidad and Tobago back in 1996 when I heard the legend of a slave who evaded his captors on a plantation in Tobago and escaped across the sea to Trinidad.
